Prime Pet Friendly Tourist Park is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, often buzzing with live music and impromptu jamming sessions that enhance the guest experience. While the hotel's amenities are celebrated for their cleanliness and pet-friendliness, with a convenient location near major attractions, some guests feel updates could be made.

Detailed Reviews
We have just left this incredible caravan park yesterday after a 14 day break.. This was our second visit to the park and both times we were greeted with such warmth & continuous help and support..
The parks location is fantastic for all ages, with everything in walking distance, whether it be cinemas, restaurants, the beach, and food..
We have dogs and love travel with our fur babies, and I have to say, this is THE BEST Caravan Park Pet Friendly we have been to..
The owners Daryl and Sandy, really have put a lot of thought of making this dog friendly.. they have dog friendly cabins. They also have a dog park play area
Situated right next to the inground pool which allows you to have a swim and your pets are right next to you.
So many times this has been a problem with other parks for me in the past. They provide babysitting services for your dog, a dog wash, dog washing machine for their blankets etc, which I was so grateful for as we were blessed to have a litter of puppies born whilst staying at the park and Daryl and Sandy were so supportive and helpful with anything we needed for a safe arrival of our 6 German Shephard Puppies..
This park is spotless, the people who stay at the park have such respect for everything that Daryl and Sandy do. They are constantly working to ensure everything is clean and the facilities are 100% and there is nothing they won’t do, to ensure our stay was great..
One thing I also loved about this park, is there is a stage for anyone who is musically inclined or just happy to have a drink and sing along..
On a personal note we cannot thank Sandy and Daryl enough for everything they did for us.. you feel like family to us and cannot rave enough about your services and beautiful park!
Darren, and our 8 fur babies thank you so very much!

Thank you for the glowing review Terese, it makes all the hard work worthwhile to read that our guests are happy and appreciate everything that we provide. The best business decision we made was to be 100% dog friendly, irrespective of the breed or time of year as our Guests are starting to notice the difference between us and places that are really just dog tolerant, with no effort made to cater for them. We enjoy meeting new dogs every day, and love them all! Daryl and myself were pleased to see you all again after our tearful goodbyes due to the bush fire evacuations last January, and look forward to the next visit which is hopefully before next Summer.

From the moment we arrived for our 6 night stay we were made feel so welcome. Our three poodles were fussed over and supplied with complimentary food and treats.
Our cabin was amazing. Not only was it clean and welcoming the kitchen was very well equipped with cooking utensils, a slow cooker, electric frypan as well as disinfectant wipes and sprays.
The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and came with shower gel, room deodorisers, night light, hairdryer with diffuser (a plus with curly hair) and ample towels.
The lounge was supplied with a rug to drape over the couch for our poodles to lay on (we also took two rugs of our own to cover the couch)
The cabin had a fenced in veranda so our four legged babies couldn’t escape.
The park is within comfortable walking distance to the 90 mile beach, shops and cafes. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this park and will definitely return

We are so grateful to read that your stay was enjoyable and that Lucy Lou suffered no consequences from the intimate meeting with the 2 Huskies. It will be a delight to welcome you both back to Prime, together with your 3 bundles of Toy Poodle fun. Thank you for your support of our Super Deluxe Cabin, and the Park.

My partner and I stayed here from feb 12 til February 15 and we had a nice time. Our fur baby was welcomed as well. We stayed in a cottage that was super clean, compact and comfortable and we didn’t have to worry about our dog upsetting anyone and getting in the way. We also had the best sleeps on brand new koala mattresses which we’ve decided to buy for home!!! Has a beautiful pool and is walking distance from iga and the marina. The owners are lovely and friendly and would recommend this place to any pet owners!

I cannot imagine Ziggy would ever upset anyone, especially being so damn cute! Thank you for the feedback on the Koala Mattress, we have been sleeping on one for about 3 years and it still feels just as good as our first night. All the queen beds in our Cabins & Cottages have been replaced with a Koala mattress and we are yet to get any complaints, so they must suit those with both soft and hard mattress preferences? Thank you for posting a review of your experience with us at Prime, we only hope that when you come next time the weather is much more consistent than the extremes we have witnessed this Summer, so you get to do more walking.

Our recent stay at this park can only be described as fantastic, despite the difficulties of the Gippsland fires. The owners, Daryl and Sandi are simply wonderful people who couldn't do enough to please all their guests, despite the threat of the bush fires that were in the surrounding hills. They held park meetings, kept us fully briefed as to the events, made their recommendations, but, ultimately, told us all to go on the 2nd Jan 2020 which proved a very wise decision with the imminent threat of the fires to Lakes Entrance.
Daryl and Sandi are both muso's and set up a full-on stage on New Years Eve for anyone with any level of experience to get up and play, sing or whatever. Most park guests (with dogs) participated and the night was a blast. Daryl improvised with his harmonica (blues harp) through a number of 12 bar blues songs with Sandi on percussion. Great work guys. I picked up a guitar and played on stage for the first time in 18 years to this set. Eric Clapton eat your heart out! Some of the guests were really talented and highlighted (in my opinion) by a guy playing guitar accompanying his 12 year old daughter who had the most delightful voice. Quite professional really.
Through the other nights we were there, the communal BBQ facility became the hub for caravaners to get together and meet each other and chat. Overall, this small park gets the thumbs up from us and we're coming back as soon as we can. This time, I'll bring my guitar with me! Cheers to Daryl and Sandi. Keep practicing young man.

We keep saying that it feels to us like our Guests are friends staying in the backyard, and that is how we like the vibe of the Park to be. The experience we all went through with the threat of possible danger, certainly brought out the best in everybody and enabled friendships to grow among a random group of people, which made our job of keeping everyone informed and safe, that much easier. Your mention of playing a guitar for the first time in 18 years is a pretty common event that always brings Daryl & myself joy, to think that we have reintroduced you to a pastime that gives you pleasure once again is gold! Sometimes life gets in the way of our passions, and the relaxed atmosphere of a campground can provide the opportunity to bring it back, so we definitely want to see you bring a guitar back next visit and look forward to a jam session. Thank you for the amazing recommendation Geoff, we are truly humbled and appreciative of your good wishes during these testing times.

We choose this caravan park as it was pet friendly for a quick get away. The facilities were excellent for easy parking, close to the shops and easy walking distance to the beach. The cabins were spotless and very comfortable, and with all the amenities you need for a holiday, and the staff were very friendly and helpful as well. My dog loved the free leash play run for pets, and the grounds were very clean which made it very pleasant to walk your dog. We will be back for another holiday to Prime Pet Tourist Park as we had an enjoyable time, and so did my toy poodle Ellie.

So glad that Miss Ellie and yourselves enjoyed the getaway, and the convenience of the short walk to the shops. Our Allergy Free Cabin has a lovely vibe and we have tried to provide as many things that we can think of to make it more welcoming for all of our Guests. We appreciate that you liked it for your stay, and look forward to the next time you arrive for a check in with us.

What a gem. We booked a pet friendly caravan with annex at Prime Pet Friendly tourist park at Lakes Entrance. Fully enclosed verandah so the floofs had some much need off leash time inside and outside the cabin, small off leash enclosed area (converted child's playground) and a coin operated dog wash bay! In our cabin we were provided dog poop bags, water bowls and a towel to dry them off if they've been to the beach. Dogs allowed on the couch as long as you lay the supplied blanket of it first. They also offer doggy day care between 9 and 5 for $5 per dog per hour. I cannot rate highly enough the car and attention to detail at this park. This is an absolute cracker dedicated to ensuring your pets are having a good time too!

Thank you for your kind review Sue, we appreciate your time and effort in helping to share the love. We are all about making every dog feel like a VIP Very Important Pooch, and love helping them enjoy the holiday alongside their owners. Did you know we only accept accommodation bookings from those travelling with pets, as we know the challenges from driving up and down the East Coast a couple of times ourselves. Enjoy the rest of your time in East Gippsland and please bring back Hooch & Delilah for another stay.

This was a great place to be able to holiday with our dog along with us as well. We used the luxury cabin option and it had all the facilities we required. Our dog was comfortable right from arriving at the Prime Tourist Park.
We had good information and conversation prior to and on arrival.
We used the dog lead free area and the dog wash during our stay and both we a welcome part of the stay. Our dog was happy and interactive with others in the Park and it was a good way to meet other visitors and have a chat.
The Park has close access to the town shopping area and also to the lake and the ocean beach, and all were within easy walking range.
The Park has also installed an EV charging station for Park customer use
We'll definitely be back in the near future.
It just had a lot of things that made the stay so much more enjoyable and relaxing

We booked an ensuite powered site initially for two nights but extended it to three. A caravan had been converted into two ensuites of which we used one. It was immaculate, spacious and well stocked with toilet paper, hand wash, cleaning products and a bath mat. Water pressure and heat were excellent.
The caravan park itself is a little dated but has everything you need including a laundry, BBQ and camp kitchen. It is a short walk to a supermarket and the Esplanade.
The staff/management were friendly and helpful. We found it comfortable, peaceful and relaxing.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your hospitality over the last few days :)
We had a “small campsite” an there was oodles of room! Compaired to some other parks we definitely felt like we had our own space rather than stacked on one another.
We travelled with our rooftop and a gazebo for shade.
The facilities were always clean but also really appreciated and surprised by the sink which even supplied dish soap and a sponge to clean our dishes each day. Gave us some sort of normal routine which was nice!
Some afternoons they supplied some live music around the park which was nice to sit back and relax with some tunes in the background.
Bonus! Mr whippy drove through each afternoon for a little treat!
If you are looking for a place to camp with your dogs then definitely stay here! They loved the off leash area but also the many pats they received from other campers!
The hosts were always friendly and said hello.
Everything was just great! You’re doing a wonderful job!

We were surprised that Mr Whippy still wanted to come to Prime now that we no longer allow children, but he obviously knows his market as the adults have made it worthwhile for him to come back. Perhaps the very familiar tune triggers happy memories and creates a moment of nostalgia that must be rewarded, who knows? Thank you for sharing your New Year 2023 experience with us, we are so happy that you enjoyed the Park and hope you return in the future.

We have really enjoyed this park - the facilities are excellent for both adults & dogs. There is even a washing machine dedicated to washing dog beds & towels which is so useful. Plus there is a dog hydro bath on site. Perfect location which allows you to walk to everything in Lakes Entrance - even if you don’t have dogs this is a great spot for a stay.
