Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clean and tidy rooms. The check in process was easy and simple. Staff are friendly. Walking distance to the Main Street for the RSL and pubs for dinner. Walking distance to coffee shops and breakfast options. Happy to stay here again in the future.

Booked into this hotel for one night, travelling through to Adelaide. Very pleasant greeting at reception. Stairs only to rooms. We had a room facing the main road and it was quite noisy if you opened your window. If we stayed again would request a room overlooking the carpark - much quieter. Very comfortable room, all amenties supplied. Clean, modern bathroom. Feels as though the hotel has had a recent update. No breakfast in the dining room but room service available for breakfast. Arrived promptly and very generous servings for breakfast. Enjoyed our stay

Clean and tidy, with a good size fridge, desk, shower and bathroom. Place to put your bag and wardrobe. TV was easy to use. Did not get much sleep because I got a room facing the highway. Lucky it was only one night. Parking is plentiful but hot in Summer.

Stayed overnight only. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Ample parking. Room very clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom facilities adequate, except for lack of towels, which we had to ask for. Everything in fridge had to be paid for. Phone service was promptly attended to. I happened to drop my bracelet in the parking lot while I was packing the car, but fortunately for me, it was picked up by a male passerby after we had left the premises, who handed it in to the front desk. Trish was quite obliging and checked out the room, housekeeping, and corridors during my phone conversation with her, after I noticed the bracelet missing from my wrist. She has since mailed my bracelet to my NSW address, and hopefully, I should receive it in one piece! Thank you, Trish! My faith in human nature has been restored!

Stayed in the Executive room which had a King size bed, table and chairs, desk and roomy bathroom with huge spa bath. Peter, the owner assisted us with our luggage and he and his chef gave us terrific tips for day trips which we were very grateful. Our room was quiet and the fridge was stocked but there was also plenty of room for our groceries. This is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Grampians or Mt Arapiles and surrounding towns.

I checked in late and the communication before I arrived about where to locate the key was very good. My room was located at the rear, and I didn't hear any traffic noise at all. The room was little dated (but still modern for Horsham) but well maintained. The room had far too much furniture for its size and the tub chairs at the table were far too low. I ordered breakfast and asked for it to be served as late as possible, this was probably a mistake as the scrambled eggs and sausages were dry and inedible, the bacon etc was just ok- very disappointing. Otherwise, all good, just breakfast elsewhere.

I was told by Peter there was 2 rooms left to book. He was happy to accommodate me and charge me $189. What he didn't tell me was the room faced the main road, and whilst he says he stayed in the exact room 224 for weeks with no issue, the truck noise was not bearable. When staying in a motel three things are paramount, hot shower (tick), Good meal (tick), and a good nights sleep. I made it to 11pm and had to leave. MAKE SURE WHEN BOOKING YOU NEVER STAY IN THE ROOMS FACING THE ROAD. Peter had no interest in accommodating my issue, and said he has people actually request the room I stayed in.

This hotel accommodation is well placed in Horsham with rooms facing away from the main traffic route. We used it as a stop over en route to Adelaide. The rooms are a comfortable size as is the bed. Their are a number of suitable dining options within walking distance of the hotel.

Described by the information centre as a “new” motel in town, it was in fact slightly disappointing. It may have been “new” at some stage in its history, but the furnishings were decidedly drab. Old-style free-standing clothes cupboard, and TV unit. Furniture definately did not fit the room with the two chairs cramped by a two-seater settee. When sitting at the chairs at the table, the table was neck height, hardly matching! As breakfast is only served in the rooms, to eat with this arrangement would be quite awkward. The Restaurant was booked out when we arrived on the first night, but a look at the very limited menu was enough to look elsewhere for the remaining two nights of our stay. No lift to our room on the first floor was a very detracting feature, particularly for a couple over 70. Fortunately, a friendly staff member assisted in carrying our bags, otherwise we may have changed our booking. Perhaps hotels should advertise lack of elevators? Our room tended to be a bit noisy as the facing street is the main roads for trucks etc heading for Adelaide. Reception hours are limited to 10.30-4.30 during the week And 11.30-3.30 weekends These hours were explained as “due to Covid” ???? Rooms are not serviced on weekend or public holidays
