Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is neat, clean and comfortable, but extremely aged with very outdated furniture and fixtures. The car park is gravel. The outdoor furniture has deteriorated. The pool has been covered over, but if you are on a type budget, this is a great place to stay. It is on the main highway so can get a bit noisy but once you fall asleep it’s great.
Bed is comfy. Dan and towels are great. The room I stayed in was basic, but it had a microwave, fridge, tea, coffee, cutlery & plates and wine glasses, ironing board & iron.
The hotel is run by a lovely family, great service

We stayed at the motel last night on way enroute from Adelaide to Melbourne. We called and booked at 8pm and were lucky to make a booking for the same night. We stayed in a family room with our two children. It was the usual motel room size so small with four people but perfect for what we needed. The room is dated but the bed comfortable and the sheets clean. We really appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge.

Rooms are newly renovated including the bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. Lovely Sheridan towels. Well stocked kitchen with toaster, kettle, plates and cutlery. From the outside the motel looks a little older but once in the room we were pleasantly surprised. A short drive to the main street. Just a stopover for us but very happy with our stay.

Simply don't bother staying here Our room, bed and then all of our belonging we're infested by ants. When I spoke to manager, seemed to blame me for not telling him earlier, (even though the ants infestation occurred whilst we were sleeping) I was advised that they had problems with ants in the past but were waiting until exterminator came back from holidays. W.T.F. They knew they had a problem but still rented out the room

Booked an overnight stay at short notice and based on price only. The office lady was very gossipy (telling me things about the previous guest that I didn't need to know) although she also filled me in on several places to go for dinner (even after I said we were right for dinner). Made a big deal of fresh milk, not UHT, in the rooms - but they also had International Roast coffee, yuk!

The rooms, amenities and mattresses were very tired. The sheets were very clean and the bed, whilst awful to sit on, was fine for sleep. We left the air-conditioner on all night which drowned out most of the noise from passing trucks.

The bathroom needs a good reno- it appeared to have original 70s tiles, wallpaper and fittings (except the basin had been replaced some time this century, by the looks). Free toiletries were provided but were of poor quality. Towels were old but clean.

The room was short on power points (we had two people with phones, tablets and cameras to recharge but there was only one double powerpoint accessible near the bed) and the tv couldn't be moved at all to face the beds. Channel nine dropped out 35 minutes into a movie and never came back. There are a selection of free DVDs at the office for borrowing and I guess this is why, but the office was closed by the time the TV died.

Overall, I'd only stay here again as a last, or nearly last resort and only for overnight.

This is a typical 1970's motel that you find in country towns. The owners are delightful and very helpful. Although the rooms are very old there have been some renovations. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom need a coat of paint on the ceiling and the wallpaper is lifting. However, we found it adequate, very comfortable, and well priced.

We checked in, went for dinner and when we got back and entered the room we realised the room had a very musty smell. It was too late to ask for a different room since there was nobody at reception anymore after 9 30.
The sheets on the queen size bed were dirty with something crusted on them.
The beds were quite saggy.
The carpet in the room was extremely dirty.
The person I spoke with in the morning was friendly but made no attempt at trying to make us, the customers, happy.
Would definitely not go back. Would rather drive on a bit more and stay at the London Inn in Stawell.

The staff were very understanding when I ran late for check in. The motel room was just what I expected. There was no plates or bowls though, so I ate my cereal out of a microwave container I happened to have. I would stay here again next time I'm passing through.

My partner and I stayed here on the way back from Melbourne to Adelaide just after Christmas. It is an older style motel but very clean and comfortable. Lady at the front desk was very cheery and helpful. Our room was set back from the main road so traffic noise was not a problem. Outdoor pool and BBQ facilities available. Hot breakfast brought to our door. What more could a weary traveller want? Will definitely be staying here next time I go to Melbourne. Have already booked the room!
