Hotel was pleasantly located. The room itself was not too bad, all the things you need on a short stay. With the exception of WiFi. Which can be purchased at an additional cost. Despite this, the noise from neighbouring rooms was intolerable. Hearing neighbours shower throughout the night, cough, walk around and many more familiar noises. We did not get a pleasant sleep and shall not be returning to this motel.

The Motel was ideally situated in the City of Geelong, and close proximity to the beach, shops and botanical gardens. All these places were within walking distance; The motel rooms were clean. The staff were friendly.

Please do not book at this hotel! I booked a room in this hotel on an official website. It was stated that reception was open until 9pm but if I arrived later a request would be sent to the hotel. I specified that I will be there at 11pm, the hotel confirmed my reservation and made me pay for the room then they sent me an email explaining to me that it was not possible and that they would not refund me! I find that outrageous. They stole $210 from me and when I call them they won't talk to me and hang up the phone
Book another hotel if you don't want to waste your money

My son and I had a very unpleasant experience during our stay, so much so that we left a day early. The host was rude and most unhelpful (she probably should reconsider her choice to work in the hospitality industry) when we couldn't make it to our accomodation in time for check in, caused by unforeseen transport delays out of our control. Unbelievable that there is no solution for late arrivals e.g. key lock box. The room was spacious but the wafer thin walls made the noise and loud music coming from the guests next to our room, it seemed like we were at a Nightclub. In fairness to the host the music was turned down after her second request was followed. Smoking on the balcony seemed to be encouraged given the placement of the ashtrays less than a satisfactory distance from room doors. The room was clean and in a good location with onsite parking. Unless it has changed hands I would think twice about staying here.

Do not book here. My booking was cancelled 20min before I arrived and was told they had rebooked the room. So incredibly rude and unhelpful. We stayed at the Eastern Sands who accomodated us last minute. Eastern Sands was very clean and comfortable. Suggest a stay at Eastern Sands instead!!

I don’t recommend this motel. The final straw was being woken up by the people above us showering at 3am, could literally hear everything from as soon as they turned on the shower to them dropping the soap. The chick above woke us up at 6am with her emphysema cough which was non stop.
Paper thin walls. Avoid being downstairs if you can, you will hear all the footsteps, cars driving in, car doors closing, doors opening and closing as well as every single toilet flush. The blinds don’t knock out all the lights so you’ll catch a glimpse of every light at night.
I didn’t like the fact that all my card details were written down on paper including ccv. The room itself isn’t too bad, bed was basic, sheets were bad, it all seemed pretty clean besides the remotes, there seemed to be a lot of dirt in between the buttons.

Our room was perfect. It was clean, bedding and furnishing were in great condition. Bathroom fixtures were all new and the shower had nice water pressure.

It was a great location to everything. The beach was just a quick stroll down the road. Awesome beach pools, massive one with diving boards and lots of room if you're a lap swimmer. The other pool is great for little ones.

The Geelong Botanic Gardens is wonderful and it's not massive so you can fit in other adventures into your day if you don't have a lot of time.

We also drove out to the Werribee Open Range Zoo. It's just under an hour to get there.

The best motel in Geelong. My dad had heart attack and was in hospital. Bay City motel is so close to Geelong University hospital. Just a short stroll. The lady in the reception is so nice and helpful. I stayed for few days, room was serviced everyday. The cleaning lady was very friendly. Room was freshly renovated. Beautiful bathroom and high pressure hot water pressure. Love this place. Will come to stay next time in Geelong

I stayed here with my partner for two nights because his father in law went into cardiac arrest and was flown to the Geelong hospital to be stabalised.

The location was good, close to the hospital which was handy.

We stayed in Room 3 and there was no exhaust fan for the bathroom causing mould and there was no drain on the floor of the bathroom to capture excess water. I found the edge of a condom wrapper under the bed. We didn't receive fresh towels after the first night and our bed was not made. When I questioned the woman about this after check-out she replied "Well, do you make your own bed at home?". I don't pay money to stay at home and make my own bed, I pay money to stay in a motel.

We were accused of tearing a curtain which is not possible as we lowered the main curtain when we got there, and then raised it when we checked out. We were charged on the credit card and was not provided an invoice, nor was I advised that there was a charge on my card.

The woman asked why I stayed two nights and I went to tell her about what had happened to my father-in-law but she had hung up on me before I was able to explain. As seen on these reviews, asking why people stay an extra night seems to be a common theme.

We ended up getting a cabin with a huge spa and recliners for the same price so I don't believe that it was good value for money.

The location however was good, I will say that. I'm disappointed at how this turned out as we will be going back and forth between Geelong at least twice a week for the next month and a half.

the curtain had a half a metre rip in it when the guest left, we did not accuse as intentional, the curtain had to be replaced, as for the room being dirty, the guest stayed one night booked through wotif and stayed the next night directly with us so if the room had have been as stated, i would not have stayed the first night let alone the second.
