My stay at the parkwood will be memorable for all the wrong reasons, the list of reasons you shouldn’t stay here are as follows, The room upon arrival was dusty and I found many hidden treasure in my room the ‘cleaner’ shouldn’t have missed, like a knife in the wall?. My room was constantly left with wet towels and I went without a working shower in my room for several nights. The maid knocks and also enters without waiting for a reply. The service here provided by all staff is rude , during my stay I was harassed and abused by the manager and also the yard worker. Who accused me of yelling when the people above my room were screaming and throwing furniture. The police attend the motel more than anyone else as the owner calls when you invite any visitor to your room, On numerous occasions during my stay myself and other people witnessed the motel owner invade the privacy of peoples rooms when she knows they have gone out and taken belongings from people’s rooms. I myself found my door left unlocked and opened after she let herself in to my room to go through my belongings. The cleanliness of this hotel is atrocious and frankly I don’t know how it is legal to run any form of accommodation at this low of a standard. Frankly I don’t think they can legally advertise Foxtel here when it’s only 8 Channels provided over a digital remote having no actual access to Foxtel channels or the TV guide? My stay at the parkwood has been eventful but I highly recommend you stay anywhere else. Extremely disappointed.…
What a refreshing family run motel. Lots of attention to detail. Everything provided in the room, ironing board, iron etc. Generous coffee and tea satchels etc and a decent size fridge! Air con works well and also the Wifi which is often so patchy, but no, my device stayed connected the whole time I was in the room! Comfortable bed, hot water in the shower- very clean, and welcoming - what more can you ask for! There is a pool but I didn’t have time to enjoy this. I will happily stay there again and can thoroughly recommend his property.
Rooms are decent. Far from city, not much breakfast options. Own/rental car must for commuting. Coles & Aldy are around 1 km away for groceries. Charges even for budget accommodation was high. But my booking was last minute, non refundable one. I guess they have rooms with Kitchen, which would have been better.
This Motel doesn't look like much from the outside. Check in was quick and easy and the hosts friendly with good local knowledge. When we got into our room, it was surprisingly spacious and clean with a few key renovations. The room backed onto an unexpected little oasis of a garden which was great for kids to run around and a pool to play in. Location is good, walking distance to the gigantic Sphinx, which had decent food and importantly, a kids play area. Room was quiet to other guests and traffic noise. Would happily stay here again if we were in the area.
The onsite laundry was a life saver for us, as we had been on the road for quite a while. And we came back to the laundry to find all our washing folded and ready to pack! Lovely homely touch. Sunny outdoor pool area that can be accessed from your room is very appealing, and easy property to find.
