My comments are historical now - 12 months in fact. However after all of this time I need to review my experience, because if nothing else it will be cathartic for me! I had stayed at this accommodation on approximately 7 times previous to 2020 as I am often in Geelong. I was a statistic caught up in the Covid calamity which has seen 1000's of us have our travel plans disrupted. I attempted to move not cancel a reservation set for the 6th June 2020 to a forward date or alternatively requested a credit. I was 6-8 days inside a 30 day cancellation policy. I was told in no uncertain terms NO, nothing no concessions. I was clearly very upset by this, more so knowing that at the time a Federal Government directive was in place, that no accommodation properties were allowed to accept bookings into their properties unless you were travelling for 'essential work' - which I was not. This directive was originally in place to the 20th May, then extended to the 13th June. So reality was, Vue should have been contacting me to cancel the booking!! On trying to reason with the responder, the rude and self entitled response was a link to Centerlink - with a message from Vue staff telling me, if I was 'experiencing financial difficulty'!! - are you serious?!!. Sadly I fare welled $1500.00 and consequently have never stayed there since. The upside is I still travel to Geelong several times a year, I have business there, I love the city but the bitter taste of my experience at Vue remains. I have found other beautiful places to stay in this lovely city now. I remain manifestly saddened still though, by the attitude of the staff, their ability to twist the truth and their heartless regard which would not have been to me alone, but undoubtedly effected other people as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Vue Apartments Geelong. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a 2 bed apartment with bay/park views and the outlook was lovely. The kitchen was well appointed, and although we ate out mostly you could easily prepare meals if you wanted with a full size fridge, two burner hotplates, microwave oven, dishwasher and full oven. The beds were comfortable and after reading reviews about traffic noise at night we were a bit concerned, however we didn't experience any problems at all and slept particularly well. The bathroom was spacious and even had a spa tub bath. Unlike most hotels and apartments, there was ample hooks and racks for drying wet towels, as well as bench space for toiletries. The location is great, right by the waterfront and a short stroll to the CBD and Westfield. Highly recommend it and will certainly be back to stay again.

Staff are lovely but we won’t stay again. - thumping and crashing sounds from upper levels was so loud for hours through the night - pillows hard and poor quality - had to chase up milk and tea bags - should have been restocked - no shower cap (really annoying) - hoons at Eastern Beach were so loud (not accommodation’s fault though).

We originally booked to stay in December 2020 but due to a Covid event in Sydney, we had to reschedule. The Vue was very accommodating and allowed us to keep a credit to utilize at a later date. We were not disappointed. The front of the office staff were very helpful and, the accommodation was excellent. We found the two-bedroom apartment very comfortable and the view to the Ferris Wheel and bay very pleasant. We will return as we have sick relatives to visit in Geelong and this is a great place to stay while visiting family and friends in Geelong.

Paid over 500$ for one night - 2 bedroom apt with view. Small living area and balcony. Dirty/ dusty balcony. View underwhelming- see photos. We presented at 1.45 to be told check in is 2pm. Car parking extra 15$ for one night. Free parking in the streets on weekends. Dishwasher didn’t work- when reported it was suggested we check the fuse box as it may have tripped. Dishes in the cupboard were dirty- had to wash them. Shampoo/ body wash/moisturiser supplied. Need a shower cap as the shower is a large overhead shower head. View rooms are on the street, no views look out over a car park- our friends had a no view room. Street noisy on a Sat with hoons roaring up the street. Beds were comfy. Washing machine and dryer present- not used by us. Water glimpses from balcony only. Park / street view from room. We stayed on second floor. Felt the room was very expensive for what it was. Small bottles of water in fridge were 3$ each. Would look around prior to next Geelong stay. More cleaning required and more generosity required eg, car parking, water, check in.
