We stayed overnight and were greeted well by a friendly reception staff member. The hotel is quite old and perhaps in need of an upgrade however, it served our purpose and this was reflected in the price that we paid. It is centrally located and comfortable.

The rooms are large, the bed was comfortable. The TV kept cutting in and out. I got up during the night and stepped on a huge cockroach in the bathroom. Was a bit surprised to have to pay for a latte for breakfast was told after i complained that there was percolated coffee which was free, they did credit the...

Stayed one night whilst relative had an overnight stay in Hospital next door. Location was very convenient for this purpose. However, quite a long walk to the waterfront and to the main shopping area of Geelong. As with other reviews, does need a refurb. after taking over from Mecure recently. I am a Priority Member, but was given a room...

Some things about the hotel were great. Large rooms and big TVs, okay location - just a 15 minute walk to the beach (Novotel better location) although some things put it down a level. The bed annoyed us the most because there wasn't a duvet cover so it was just a doona with a sheet below it and a sheet...

The overall look of the hotel needs a refurbish as it's clearly dated. Our room appear to be newly renovated and spacious enough. Reception staff was friendly and helpful enough but I have got to complain about the parking price. $18 a day for guests, would be reasonable if it's undercover but it's just off street outdoors. This hotel is...

Somehow hotel feels aged and old, though still maintained. Location was convenient with nice restaurants all within 10mins walk and a hospital next door too! All in all, good for a couple of nights due to work before the flaws/ details starts eating into the occupant in general. Check in and out administration were smooth thanks to front office staff,...

The water heater in this hotel needs a review - it is cold water. The hotel remains dated despite the best efforts of staff to make us comfortable. The parking is also expensive at $18. In short, I will not stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago when it was the Mercure. It seems nothing has been done to it since that time. I was happy to see a walk-in shower, not a shower over a bath, The rooms were large and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were average. We ate in the Terrace...

Rydges have recently taken over from Mecure and this hotel is in a huge need of a renovation. The rooms were ok, but dated with patched popcorn ceilings. The unique shape of the building and dim hallway lighting made it feel like a movie set. The hotel had a pool but we didn't use it. It's in a good location...
