Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very convenient location particularly for Spirit of Tasmania travellers. Could not fault the room. Very spacious bathroom with large shower. Very well maintained. Very friendly management. Cheaper than anyone else. Very comfortable bed and excellent lighting. Highly recommended.

The friendly greeting was a great start and the clean, comfortable and well appointed room was a great finish. Bed linen crisp and fresh, bathroom gleamed. Tosster, microwave, hairdryer kettle. Highly recommend this property for a comfortable, convenient stay

We stayed at the Rippleside Park Motor Inn for a few days in January. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped - fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster plus a good selection of plates, bowls cutlery etc. We did not find noise from passing traffic to be a problem despite it being close to a main road - the noise from early departing guests on Harleys woke us - but it would no matter where you stayed. It's a pleasant 40 minute walk along the esplanade to get to Cunningham Pier and into the CBD, or a slightly quicker walk along the main road. The wi-fi signal was good and the owners and staff were friendly and very pleasant. If you want to eat, go up to the Bean & Base cafe opposite the station for breakfast or if you're there at the weekend, they do a seriously good wood fired pizza for lunch/dinner!

I had an unpleasant time staying at the motel. The room I stayed in, the toilet cubicle had cobweb on the ceiling, the bed end sheet (I dont know what you call it) had some sort of blood stain on it, a pubic hair was found on one of the towels, stain marks were on one of the pillows, the mattress bases cover had lot of stains on it, the cup tray had lot of dust and sugar on it, lot of dead flies are inside the pamphlet rack and the gap under the shower door had lot of dirt and hairs came out when I put a little bit of water pressure on it. It was revolting, the worst of all each night was about $137. There were no room service, no one came and tidied the bed each morning and emptied the rubbish bin. On the top of that, the decor is definitely very outdated, it desperately needs a good fresh of paint. Very disappointed experience overall.

We took a family room on our road trip as an overnight stay. The room was very spacious with comfortable beds to sleep 5 people. The parking space was ample in the motel. The bathroom and toilet were clean. Water kettle and Tea/Coffee were also made available. Special thanks to Paul for attending us well. Overall a reasonable stay on the main road. No restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Taking the family on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide along the Great Ocean Rd, Rippleside was our first stop over before the long drives ahead. The rooms are basic, on a busy road and train line but it’s clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is available and the owner is really friendly

Had a funeral to attend in Queenscliffe decided to stay overnight rather than tackle the drive around the bay to home instead of taking the risk of getting stuck in heavy Friday night traffic. Had crossed on the ferry but becomes expensive if doing a return trip. Being retired couple time is on our hands. We found the staff very friendly and obliging, including "Cookie" Master of Pet Control" very friendly. Not a Motor Inn if you are looking for playground for kids or an onsite pool, but Geelong has some great beaches when it is beach weather. We have stayed in far worse for wear accommodation and much smaller accommodation. We found no problem with the traffic and trains and the a/c was one of the quietest we have struck. Bed was very comfy, bathroom was very good, did not have breakfast onsite. Our rule is on the day we return from being away overnight or longer is to have a Macca's breakfast of hotcakes and hash browns. I would recommend this accommodation to overnight stays even with kids as there is a pack very close by. Stays by travelling workers would also be well catered for, nothing wrong with Rippleside Park Motor Inn,

Very friendly staff, bathrooms are nice and fairly spacious. Ideal for one night stays. Comfortable bed, lots of space to put things on. The walls, though brick, weren't very sound proof and noisy guests could be heard from next door. The facilities are a bit dated but if you're okay with that then it shouldn't be a problem. Value was pretty good, but it's not within reasonable walking distance of the cbd so you'll probably have to drive or take the bus. Would come again.
