We recently spent a night with our three young grand children at Barwon Valley Lodge,. and were so pleasantly surprised to see how immaculate this property was. Maybe an older property, but the owners/managers have done a wonderful job in refurbishing the units to the highest standard. The grounds were beautifully presented along with the kids equipment. We all had a great experience and intend to visit again very soon Credit to the couple managing the property.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Yes, we continue to refurbish to ensure we offer the best accommodation in Geelong. This week we have added air-conditioning / heating to all the bedrooms (to complement the existing heating cooling in the main lounge area) in all of our apartments. Next week we will install an updated state of the art wifi system to all apartments - to improve our wifi offering. We are also in the process of including Nespresso coffee machines in all apartments. We hope you can return soon to experience our improvements. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Amazing accommodation. Lovely unit, so spacious and clean. Very friendly and accommodating. Owners were so welcoming. Wish I could have stayed longer. Easy walk to the footy stadium. Keep up the great work. Will definitely be back. 😁😛

We spent two night at Barwon Valley Lodge. All one could ask for: a full kitchen, laundry with washing machine and dryer, spacious bathroom and separate toilet. A shopping centre close by. Across the road, a park with a picturesque walk beside the river. We stayed mid-winter, but were quite warm and comfortable.

We absolutely love this resort !!! Great location with the Barwon river and beautiful parkland and playgrounds across the road; you feel like you are miles from the city, yet it’s only a few minutes to the centre of Geelong, a train station and the Geelong football ground. Hosts (Bill and Jan) are really lovely...friendly & welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Our family have had many weekend escapes here as it’s so easy and amazing value for money, and not far from Melbourne. Units are clean, spacious, super comfy and quiet and have everything you could possibly need. And we get to relax and enjoy the pool, hot spa, tennis court, playground, ducks and Wi-Fi with the children. If you are looking for a mid-week or week-end escape, this place is perfect for families and anyone who wants to be close to the city, yet feel like they are staying in the country. Can’t wait to go back again !!!

I travel a lot with work and try to get two bedroom appartments to share with my work mate , these appartments have everything you need so you can cook and feel like home , these would have to be the cleanest appartments I have come across and the beds are sooo good , I would not hesitate staying here again if I’m in town

Stayed for three nights while visiting family...very comfortable, clean accommodation..these units have everything you need for short or long stays... close to the everything... It is over the road from the river with walking trails...close to a shopping centre etc The only thing we missed were decent sized coffee cups... Looking forward to staying again soon

We had a relaxing stay here and enjoyed the peaceful surrounds including the duck pond in front of our unit. We felt right at home with the well equipped unit and cooked most of our meals in the kitchen. The owners were friendly and helpful.
The location is very handy, you can walk across the road and have a walk along the Barwon River and, it was only a few minutes drive to nearby shopping areas and only 10 mins from Geelong's Waterfront. There's a good sized bbq area and tennis courts. The internet was adequate for emails and web browsing. While the buildings may look a bit older, inside it is more modern and that's more important to us.
I liked this place so much I thought they should clone it to other places I like to visit ;) I'd be more than happy to stay here again and would be happy to recommend it to family and friends. Tip: Get a unit in front of the duck pond, we enjoyed opening the door to see it every morning.

Amazing accommodation, clean spacious units, quiet, home away from home. Had a holiday with two families of grandchildren. Great hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them in a busy season. Great facilities, with swimming and spa pool, playground, tennis courts, river walks etc. Close to Coles supermarket, and enjoyed family menus at the RSL club, les than 5 minutes by car. Cannot recommend this lodge highly enough.

I stayed here with 2 children (aged 13 and 9) for 10 days. The apartment was clean and had plenty of space. Everything for a comfortable extended stay was provided - lots of pillows, blankets, towels. Good equipment - dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, heating and aircon, kitchen appliances. There was plenty of parking space; also a pleasant pool, small lake for canoeing, and tennis courts - perfect for entertaining the kids. Finally, the location was good - quiet, near the river, just within view of Kardinia Park, and with plenty of shops just up (or down) the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Met our requirements for an overnight stay while in Geelong for a Shakespearean play. Comfortable, spacious and good parking right outside the door. Full kitchen although we didn't use it except for breakfast. Reasonably priced. Quiet neighbourhood. Would happily stay again.

"There are a variety of rooms we choose a 2 bedroom lake view room as we can see the children in the playground, if your not sure what room to choose just call them as they will be more than happy to help you."
