Headed to Geelong for a weekend dance comp two nights in the 2 BR Family Apartment, designed for 6 Persons. Very surprised. Obviously the rooms have had an upgrade, but it felt very warm and comfortable. Extremely clean, very very clean, which is an outstanding compliment to the cleaning staff there. Easy booking online, absolutely no drama. The manager was more than happy to put the hot tub on for the kids to go in after a swim (it was about 10 degrees). Although i wouldn't holiday in Geelong (no offense to the Geelong residents but i live in Melbourne lol), I would highly recommend Barwon Valley Lodge to out of towners who want to spend a week or more and have all the comforts of home. Great apartment for a family. Well appointed. I could happily live there. The pre-heated room was very welcoming on a cold afternoon! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Spacious room inside & outside facilities also abundant.

A last minute booking due to an early start in Geelong. We stayed in a lovely spacious renovated 2 bedroom unit – it was very quiet too. We were given a later checkout, which was wonderful. I am very fussy about cleanliness, and the rooms were spotless!

I stayed in a two bedroom apartment with two other adults and two children for a night and not only was there plenty of room, I can't think of one thing that it lacked. Very quiet spot, well away from the road, parking in front of your apartment, lots of land around the apartments so they are not on top of eachother and no noise from other neighbours. The rooms have everything you need and are freshly furnished so they feel newer than they obviously are. Tennis court, pool, playground for the kids, opposite a park with running track and the river. Friendly staff and not far from town. Would definitely stay again.

Quick trip with wife, 1 year old, four year old and 14 year old. Proprietors couldn't do enough. Cot in room, delivered a high chair and even fired up the gas heater for us. Immaculate two bedroom unit, warm and homely. Walked home from Simonds stadium after the footy. Top spot!

All we needed for a night away as a family. Large kitchen and spacious living area. Easy to close of the bedrooms from the main living space once the kids were asleep so it was very quiet for them. Hosts were helpful and friendly!

Very clean with modern interior,beautiful grounds and great facilities the staff are friendly welcoming and accomodating. We have stayed at Barwon Valley Lodge twice and we have booked again for A weekend in September.

Had a great time with the family here, owners really helpful. Kids loved the playground, lake and spa/pool. Had the amenities that a family of 5 needed, would stay again if in Geelong. Opposite the river and close to good walking tracks and playgrounds.

We returned to these fab apartments after several months... This time we recommended to another two couples who were also suitably impressed. The apartments are such a great size and we used the ammenities well... Plenty of room in the lounge... 8 people enjoyed pre party drinks and nibbles prior to heading to our function. We were all cozy with terrific gas heating and beds were very comfy. With the terrific well equiped kitchen we all. Enjoyed a cooked brekky prior to departure. Great playground for kids and beautiful garden setting and the owners r delightful
