Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were directed here from my niece we were catching up with after 30 years and we didn't really care where we went but we were really happy with her choice. Just an average pub but the service and ambience was excellent. We only had drinks but we had an excellent time here with everyone.

Large size meals. Delicious garlic chilli prawns served with fresh salad and chips, big parmigianas with the trimmings. Must try the Farmers Bread for entree as its delicious. Friendly chef and great service. Great air conditioning with a kids playroom. Free parking.

We happened upon this hotel after being recommended by a local in the street. The menu choice was quite good and the meal was scrumptious. The hotel had a friendly atmosphere and we were made most welcome. There was some interesting memorabilia around the walls.

2 of us booked a room for 3 nights Friday to Sunday the others booked Saturday to Sunday, the rooms were clean and tidy though a bit small if there is 4 in the room, they are off the street so nice and quiet, a short walk to the town over the foot bridge at the station opposite, the beds are good and there is plenty of hot water they even supply a toaster, the bathroom is ok but they need to supply face washers as they use liquid soap, the main light in the room is too dull and no lighting over the bench where it is needed, the lack of bed side tables is not good, the biggest problem occurred on the Sunday night which was hot our friends room the air conditioning was not working but that Sunday night the Hotel was closed no one to be found to complain about the problem trying to phone them all we got was an answer machine which was never responded to, as it was a hot night our friends had to abandon their booking and would guess lose their room cost and find another motel it is incredulous that there was no one there to answer anything, i have never stayed in any Motel that didn't have someone on duty only 6 days, the WiFi was not free but cheap enough when i went to use the internet on Sunday night the pass word had run out and no way to get a new one as the Hotel was shut, the only saving grace was the meal on Saturday night good choice reasonable prices and typical country pub food generous servings, the staff when there were very good friendly and helpful pity about Sunday night, our room was serviced Saturday from Friday night but both rooms were not done from Saturday night, i would have rated much higher if those problems had not occurred there were plenty of empty rooms they could have moved them into if someone was there to help

Ate there early before catching a bus with extended family. Food fresh & tasty, fish n chips lovely as was beef curry. Pastoral parma was huge and got a big thumbs up from a hungry teenage boy. Prices were really reasonable, you can pay a lot more elsewhere for lesser quality. Staff friendly & attentive. Would certainly go back.

As a Hotel Motel this place is brilliant. Plenty of off street parking, nose your vehicle towards your room. We park our semitrailer across the road. Meals are great with the staff always happy to answer any questions. We have now stayed there 4 times now over a period of 6 months. If you require your meal bought to your room it is done quite happily, this suits fine as I can get on and complete my quotes and schedule my vehicles delivery runs. If I decide to eat in the dinning area there is a childs/kids room which is as close to sound proof as one could make it. This makes having a conversation easy as you're not trying to yell. The motel rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. Will I/we be staying there again? Yes absolutely.

I have been looking for the pub that used to be, friendly atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices. I think I have finally found it. This place is great. Warning....don't go to the Pastoral Hotel if you want to pay top $$ for that small steak and renovated premises and over priced drinks. I went to the Pastoral Hotel for a mid week meal and a quick snack on a Saturday afternoon and I will definitely go back next time I'm in Echuca.

The Pastoral hotel is located across from the railway station in Echuca. It has a bottle shop, motel and hotel facilities. The meals are large, well presented and tasty. It is a well run family business. The staff are very friendly as well as the owners. Well worth the visit.

There's no other word than pathetic. 4 of us sat at a table for 10, didn't receive any other service for the 20 other minutes we were there. Went to the bar to try and order a drink or God forbid a meal to be ignored and stand there and hear the employee swearing and having a conversation with his friends. Had a good kids room which is the only reason we went.
