Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent a weekend away, as a couple, to rekindle the ol' flame. It was well worth the stay in an elevated room of a central location in pioneer township.. The décor is charming & romantic for a couple and the spa was a additional bonus.

Martin and Debbie made us feel welcome without being too over the top. Some banter exchanged on arrival and the tone was set for a casual and enjoyable evening meal and overnight stay. Not 5 star but very clean and adequate for the price. Great music taste and excellent food.

WE called in for lunch and chose the soup. It tasted strange and I only ate a little. Discussed with the owner? and she agreed, no refund. I have been unwell ever since and think the vinegar taste I described to her was due to it being 'on the edge' for age. Another friend had a similar experience a while back, or I wouldn't post this.

If you want a Fawlty Towers experience this is the place. The room was small, the tv smaller with a wardrobe covering part of it. The DVD player non functional. The old lace curtains were dusty. The shower curtain was mouldy and should have been replaced long ago. When we told the front desk about the mouldy shower curtain we were duly informed that the mould gets cleaned!

This hotel is rich in history, but is also a bit dated. Its a quirky place that is very conveniently located right in the centre of the main street. Walking distance to most things. The tapas which is its speciality of the menu was very nice, and the beers are plentiful with more craft beers than you can handle.

the rooms are nowhere near as nice as the photos , the chairs on the balcony are falling apart and there is no balcony to the front . there was NO cleaning OR replenishment of ANY kind in the 3 nights we stayed. You can hear everyone else from the other rooms and from the bar

My wife and I had a fantastic time staying in this perfectly-located B&B. Debbie and Martin were brilliant hosts with lots of great stories to share. Our room was great with an awesome (and absolutely gigantic) shower, and a very comfy bed with excellent linen and pillows. We would recommend the Bordello Hotel, Bar and Spa to anyone looking for central accommodation with some character in Echuca.

We stayed here over a long weekend away - it's our third visit to Echuca and we usually stay at the Steam Packet Inn which was booked out. We love the Murray and paddle steamers and thought this would be a good time to come to catch some of the Southern 80 (not "get drunk all weekend" as the owner presumed within 2 mins of us walking in the door - it was a light-hearted joke but perhaps not particularly polite TBH). The room was nice enough with lots of space - especially the big bathroom. It was quiet and private. Unfortunately the air con turned itself off a couple of times in the 40 degree heat but Martin was friendly and helpful getting it back on quickly. Great location, close to everything especially the Port. Easy drive to Moama beach which was perfect for a sunset swim.

A group of us being 3 couples stayed at Bordello Hotel & Spa on Sat & Sunday nights this last week. Whilst it may have been a little hard to find, with Echuca overflowing with Ski Race visitors the Hotel is more than impressive. The rooms are all decked out in historical themes and are large & very comfortable. The service from the hosts, Martin & Deb was exceptional, the bar has an excellent range of Craft Beers amongst the usual drinks and the food was to die for - we ate in the small restaurant for breakfast & dinner both days. The Tapas was fantastic! Everyone in the group was talking about "return visits" - I'll certainly use Bordello when I'm in Echuca. Thanks again to Martin & Deb for their excellent and friendly service!
