Even our budget rooms are very comfortable with new paint, carpet, couch and decor. These rooms rarely make it onto the internet due to their high demand.

Our secluded salt water pool is super relaxing. No Children screaming and splashing here. Sit back with your favourite Beveridge and enjoy the serenity.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The deluxe double refurbished room is simply decorated with breakfast china, cutlery and microwave. The bathroom is spacious. Unfortunately whilst there is a heater component in the ceiling, half is missing and not working. The toilet tissue dispenser was empty.
The delightful receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent for all that Bendigo has to offer.
NB parking is outside the property and it was very safe.
We would stay here again.

The one night stay for me and my family was great. We used the pool because it was really hot, but at the same time refreshing. The rooms were nice at tidy and had everything you needed for the one night stay. The beds were comfortable through the night and there was no noise from other cabins which felt like a retreat. This motel deserves a 5 and definitely would go back.

This is what "Chris and Melissa" wrote after I had to cancel a booking and contacted them simply stating the facts, admitting I’d made a mistake and asked for a refund on compassionate grounds because I was coming to Lake Boga to help at a community event at my own expense.
"It is not the problem of the motel that you have mental health issues. If you booked directly with the motel then something could have been sorted out. You booked through Booking.com, which means that commissions and taxes have had to be paid at the time of booking. The motel tried to call you and text you on the day to sort it out but you did not respond. Now it is too late. You were extremely rude on the phone. You were hung up on for a reason because you wouldn’t stop talking and we had guests trying to check-in. People standing in front of us at reception while you carried on. You have already taken up too much of our time. So now make myself clear you will not be receiving a refund on your non-refundable booking. No matter how much of a hissy fit you have."

I booked in for the weekend with my husband who is a veteran and thought I would do the right thing and let the owner know that he has a service dog for his medical needs. I was very rudely and with some profanity told that She (owner) hates dogs infact loathes them and there was no *f....ing way that a dog was going to wipe its *Arse on her carpet and after a couple more profranities she cancelled my booking and hung up I never even had a chance to say anything.
My husband is a veteran who needs his service dog to help with his disabilities and his daily routine.

Disgraceful. The worst customer service we have ever experienced.
Despite paying for new rooms shown on all of their marketing material, we were put into an old run down colonial home stinking of mold and cigarette smoke. So much so that the couch is yellowed due to the nicotine. The front outdoor areas is stacked high with old used cigarette butts and the house is in very bad condition.
Essentially we were duped into paying for nice fresh accommodation and placed into a very old and disgusting house.

Our Son was sick on the first night and we did our best to clean up the blanket and donna in the shower to get most of the stain out, however the shower three-tiered slide door was broken and we couldn't get into the shower. We used the sink, cleaned up and opted to leave first thing in the morning due to my Sons illness that night.
We have since received an emailing labeling us as 'disgusting' and we will be charged $200 to clean the bedding. This is almost 4 times the normal accommodation rate.

We are our wits end and appalled by this situation. How people like this can operate a customer service orientated business is beyond me.
There were other reasons which would have resulted us leaving early, but the above illustrates the type of people we are dealing with here.

Avoid at all costs. Bendigo is a lovely place and these people are the trash of a beautiful town.

Well I have to say I was pretty apprehensive when I walked into this place. Difficult to find reception but it was ok. Super friendly daughter of owners. Front wall is all glass with two big doors which open up fully. Room is very good. Love, love, love the renovations. Bed was super comfortable. Very quiet location even with a train line behind. Do you ever notice when you go to plug in your computer or phone ( they’re always the ones with odd plugs) and even if you do find a plug, they won’t go in, well there’s no problem on either count here. This is an area of Bendigo I haven’t been before and on way here found a pub which looked pretty interesting with lots of people ( always a good sign) Tyson Reef Hotel. Excellent service atmosphere and food.

Would never ever book this place again. Melissa is unbelievably rude. I am totally gob smacked that she thinks you can run a customer service business and speak to people this way. Not pleasant, not nice and just a plain rude and unkind lady.

Ok. I’ve stayed here three times now but that was the last. I’ve been threatened with a visit as “they have my address “ and they’re also going to post my credit card details on the web, so yes I’ve had to cancel it. All because I wrote an honest review regarding after hours non service I got. I’ve never received text messages like the ones I got from this place. Do yourself a huge favour and book anywhere else as had been suggested by multiple other people. It’s such a shame as I really liked the place.

Newly renovated
Clean and quiet and comfortable
Hot shower; great bed; microwave and fridge, cutlery and plates to organise own breakfast.
Out of town centre but on main drag.

Wonderful host. We would absolutely stay here again.
