Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whoever took the photos for this motel’s website is a genius! They have made the place look good, when it’s far from good.
The rooms are tiny, old fashioned and uncomfortable. There was barely room to move between the two beds and don’t get me started on the bathroom! It was so tiny that it had no room for a handbasin. The curtains looked nice but come night time the alternate vertical stripes were sheer and let the light through.
I like a firm bed but these were ridiculous! You could bounce a ball off them - I know because we tried!
On a positive note, the rooms were quiet - no outside noise.
The room was definitely NOT worth $668 for two nights. It wasn’t even worth half that, but I guess they had a monopoly on accommodation with all other accommodation booked out across Bendigo this weekend for a basketball tournament.

Room Tip: On-site car parking was limited. They really should number each car park to match a room.

Clean and comfortable motel room. Decor a little dated, but room in good condition and of course it is a low cost motel. Although situated on a busy road, we found our room to be quiet enough and easy walking distance to the city centre . Car parking is a little tight for larger cars. I feel this motel represents good value for money if you want a room close to Bendigo city centre and we would stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights on a recent trip. The room and bathroom were both very clean. We found the bed to be comfortable and, although near the road, did not notice the traffic noise. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
Finally, we realised a day later we had left a pillow in the room. On contacting the motel we were able to arrange to have the pillow posted back to us. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and cooperative in arranging the return the pillow for which we are very grateful.
We were very happy and thankful for the extra time and effort the young lady put in.

We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Lovely clean room with a bigger than expected bathroom. Beds all comforrable. Friendly staff. Would recommend staying here. The kids made use of the pool to cool off after a day of sight-seeing.

A nice room with all the "essentials". I didn't book us in, but every time I passed a staff member in the yard, they were happy and friendly. The single bed was quite comfortable and the room was clean. Car parking is tight in the end rooms.
It's not far from the CBD.

The motor inn was so convenient to all our needs. The Art Gallery just 4 k away, the McIvor Hotel across the road for meals and supermarket and liquor store 200mt away.
Great location, clean convenient rooms.

We drove past the McIvor Motor Inn, it is hardly impressive from the outside. However, the rooms are clean and well looked after, and it has facilities such as heating and TV. The bathrooms are spic and span. We were here for a conference, in all we were pleasantly surprised. The only drawback is that the parking spaces are a tad narrow

I flew from brisbane to Melbourne, then drove a hire car to Bendigo and stayed the nite on a business trip. It was really nice room and friendly hosts, I did enjoy my nite here a lot, I thought the closest pub was a bit to far to walk to, but apart from that no complaints at all, very comfortable after a long days travelling.

A great place to base yourself in Bendigo, Mike & Sue are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable - if you get the option go for one of the newly refurbished rooms - they're fantastic.
The motel is within walking distance of the centre of Bendigo (beautiful architecture, gardens & lots to see and do) and Lake Weeroona (great lake to exercise at, enjoy a coffee or just enjoy the view).
Next time we're in Bendigo we'll definitely stay here again.
