This property is perfect for those who want to get away from the whirlwind of life and relax and unwind. We booked two of the three apartments, Sterry's (2BR) and The Vines (1BR) for four nights and had a really enjoyable family Christmas.
Having so much space and nature around really suited our party of adults. Some would read books on the lush lawn under the gums, others explored the surrounding state park by foot or using the supplied bikes. The chess board even got a work out! We loved the abundant bird life and the sounds of nature.
We had a mix of people who would literally be up with the birds to enjoy magical mornings and those who slept their mornings away to unwind. We self catered our meals, and appreciated the full-size fridge and stove/oven in the Sterry's apartment.
Our host Denise was so obliging, adding extra touches for Christmas and checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartments were well-sized, comfortable, clean, modern while complementing the historic feel.
Everything about our stay was perfect!

We stayed in The Vines unit with beautiful views of greenery on both sides. The unit itself was cozy, well-lit and very clean. The breakfast basket was delicious and varied, the farm quality eggs were a particular standout. Denise was very friendly and happy to help in any way, but did not intrude. There was a small dog roaming the property, but he was very quiet and calm - he clearly knew he wasn't allowed in the unit. Overall, a lovely location - we wished we'd booked for longer.

Wow, what a fabulous place! The views of the vines, dam and lawns are lovely. The 2 bedroom cottage, where my group stayed, is beautifully decorated with everything you could need for a weekend away. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself.
The Byronsvale wines are first rate. Sitting around the fire pit at night with a bottle of rose or red is a must. There are many beautiful spots to relax with friends on the property.
The hosts, Denise and Tony, are so lovely. They are generous with their time, very knowledgeable about the Bendigo area, history and the best local cafes, restaurants and places to visit (I highly recommend the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere). Denise organised yoga on the lawn for us the first morning which was a perfect start to the weekend. We also went for a long bush walk in the State forest which borders the property.
Do yourself a favour and book here - you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed three very relaxing nights at Byronsvale with our sons and their partners. The adjoining cottages - The Lodge and Sterry's - are beautifully appointed and were perfect for our family. The cottages had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the beds were super comfy with beautiful linen. We loved the location of Byronsvale - it is so quiet but very close to Bendigo. The fire pit was a big hit and we spent many hours chatting and drinking wine whilst watching the flames. We are all looking forward to returning to Byronsvale again.

We would love to keep Byronsvale as our secret hideaway but that would be selfish…. We recently stayed three nights over the Easter long weekend and had a fantastic time. Communication prior to arrival was great and our 2 bedroom cottage, Sterry’s, was true to the pictures depicted on their website. The outlook towards the vineyard was beautiful on a sunny day as we wandered around checking out the wildlife and the resident friendly dogs, Buddy and Soda. We rode the property’s bikes on the fire trails nearby and played table tennis too. Its close proximity to town meant it was easy for us to visit the local restaurants and attractions. Wifi was excellent and simple cooking was a breeze with the implements and basics provided. Thank you Byronsvale for a truly wonderful stay. Keep up the good work!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Bryonsvale. We were away with my sister and brother in law. We had the Vines Apartment and they had The Lodge. Both of these one bedroom apartments were beautifully furnished together with all the extras you would expect in 5 star accommodation. The lounge area of each apartment was very comfortable and the bed in the Vines was great. The building was originally stables built in the 1850's and they have been lovingly restored into three apartments. The other apartment does have two bedrooms and you can combine that with our apartment to make 3 bedrooms if needed or a small group of friends can book the three apartments for a weekend away. It is 7km from the centre of Bendigo, so Denise, the very personable owner, suggest that we take a taxi in and out to the restaurant we had booked. This worked really well. The second night we had dinner at the Hotel just down the road. There are cooking facilities and a barbecue if you would prefer to self cater. A breakfast basket can be ordered but we chose to drive down to Balgownie Winery both mornings for breakfast. We shared a bottle of Byronsvale Shiraz and it was delicious, You can do a wine tour but we just didn't have the time unfortunately. Byronsvale is a great place to stay especially if you want to recharge your batteries as it is just so peaceful.

My partner and I stayed for 10 days in the 2-bedroom apartment at Byronsvale, one of three apartments converted from a former farm building. The restoration has been carefully accomplished so as to preserve the heritage and charm of the old premises. However, no expense and care have been spared to provide accommodation with modern comforts throughout with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area furnished with a commodious settee, arm chairs, and TV and DVD facilities. The bathroom is well equipped and supplied. The outlook is most attractive and we have happy memories of drinking the vinyard's delicious rose wine on warm autumn evenings, sitting in the apartment's private courtyard, framed by trees, bushes and flowers. Bendigo is a short drive away and a well-stocked supermarket is within walking distance. Our host, Denise Langford, was friendly and welcoming and was untiring in making sure our stay was a happy and enjoyable one. A holiday to remember and return to.

We stayed here in the lead to a Wedding and the venue has an excellently appointed kitchen and seperate bedroom/bathroom. The setting was idealic including kangaroo's in the back paddock. Denise our hostess provided a lovely breakfast basket which enabled us to prepare it when it suited us. The venue is located 10-15 minutes from Bendigo CBD and has a local pub that does dine in or take out meals.

We stayed 2 nights at Byronsvale Vineyard and loved every minute. The location is very handy for getting into town and we loved the beautiful and peaceful surroundings set on a lovely vineyard. The accommodation is excellent, and beds very comfortable . Wine tasting was optional and we were not disappointed, also sharing a platter on the lawn. The host Denise was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again.

My husband and I have greatly enjoyed our three night stay at Byronsvale. Located in beautiful bushland just minutes out of Bendigo, Byronsvale provides the traveller with a superb place in which to get away and unwind. Our stay at Byronsvale has been our first mini holiday since Melbourne’s first Covid lockdown. We arrived in desperate need of a change of pace and surroundings. The ‘Vines’ apartment we stayed in was extremely comfortable with a wonderful King size bed, a well appointed kitchen, comfortable sofa, table and chairs, TV-in fact everything one needs for a break away including very good WiFi. The ‘Vines’ also has a terrace that faces the vineyard and a little lake. It is a perfect place to enjoy the sunshine and a wine at the end of the day. One ends and starts the day hearing the sounds of frogs, crickets and birds. It’s pretty good! To top all off this off Denise Langford is a gem of a host. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she sets very high standards for her accommodations. It was a lovely touch for her to suggest a wine tasting with a cheese and meat platter on our first night. Byronsvale is a real find- and I thought such a lovely alternative to the hotels and other forms of accommodation back in town. We will certainly come back!
