Bishops court in Bendigo is a very special place. Wonderful historical building, large and beautifully appointed room, huge renovated bathroom ( private but not en-suite for our room), wonderful lounge, pool room, verandah with a stunning night view of the cathedral spire, beautiful gardens and friendly hosts. And the magnificent breakfast highlighted by French toast with maple syrup and bacon on the side. All is all highly recommended for a special occasion. You will love it.

We loved our stay in this back in time elegant B&B. It is located in a quiet area within walking distance of all the major attractions, shops, restaurants and bars. We had a large room, beautiful ensuite and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast included with freshly baked bread and real butter!

Oh this Victorian mansion is gorgeous! I was looking for a quaint old place with loads of character to stay in while I visited Bendigo to view the Balenciaga Exhibition at the fabulous Bendigo Art Gallery. Plus it had to be within a 5 minute walk, this place is it! What a fabulous find, I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay here, the Balfour Room with the beautiful bay window and four poster bed is divine. A huge thank you to Bev who looked after us so well with interesting historical info, great cooking and cool jazz for breakfast. I even got to play pool as well!

We were visiting Bendigo to see the Tudor to Windsor Expo at the Art Gallery and I wanted to find a charming local place that was walking distance to everything. My other "must have" was an open fire. We struck gold with Bishopscourt. Our room was exactly what I wanted complete with open fire. I felt like a queen myself, as we got to take in the beautiful furniture, 4 poster bed, and claw foot bath in the ensuite. Bev greeted us warmly and we instantly felt relaxed. The room was huge and has everything we needed. The adjoining games room had tea/coffee making facilities with a little fridge for fresh milk. The bathroom had lovely plush towels and the most divinely scented lemon myrtle soap. Walking distance to the Art Gallery and a range of restaurants, together with plenty of free parking right at the door. Breakfast was superb with fresh hot bread for toast, cereals, fruit & yoghurt, fresh orange juice, tea &coffee. Helen (Bec's daughter) also made us French toast with berries. OMG! It couldn't have been more perfect. Take some time to read the history of the home and explore the curios tucked into every corner. It's just like stepping back in time and being welcomed into a family home. If I could give 6 stars I would. My time at Bishopscourt was heavenly and I'll certainly be back.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Bishopscourt Bed and Breakfast and we are so glad we stayed here during our first visit to Bendigo . Staying in such a beautiful , comfortable Victorian house walking distance to some great restaurants , shops and museums . We couldn’t ask for better !! We were fortunate to be put into their big room with an on sweet bathroom which had a fabulous bath tub . The room was comfortable and romantic . We found the internet and movies extremely good that on our last day in Bendigo , we were very happy to stay in our room and watch movies and enjoy the house . Helen, Bev and Mark were very friendly and approachable . The breakfast was scrumptious and a great start to the day . It was lovely having breakfast while looking out to the beautiful garden . I have no doubt I will be back for a girls weekend away and I will definitely stay at Bishopscourt bed and breakfast !! Thank you for running a beautiful bed and breakfast that has everything you need while at the same time preserving the historic feel of a Victorian house !

If you like old world charm, history, homely atmosphere and warm hospitality then Bishopscourt is worth the stay. We stayed in the room with four poster bed and it was so roomy and bed very comfortable. Also the best location as you can walk to many tourist attractions and restaurants. Also l must mention the great breakfast. Best few days away. Just be aware that shower is over bath.
