This is one of the best motels we have stayed at, everything was perfect. We stayed in a superior room which was so spacious with a very comfortable bed, huge two-person shower in a large bathroom, very large room with kitchenette. There was nothing we could fault. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. We can't recommend this motel highly enough.

Recently, we stayed in Bendigo to catch up with family. Friends recommended The Central Deborah Motel. From the time we booked in, we received prompt and friendly service. Upon arrival, the excellent service continued, with good advice about local restaurants. The room was well appointed and very clean. The double glazing also meant that street noise was minimal. The room also had a kitchenette, which is always a bonus. The hotel is located near the town centre, so we were able to walk to the nearby restaurants and other attracions. We were very impressed by all aspects of our stay at The Central Deborah Motel, and plan to stay there in future visits to Bendigo.

My husband and I have stayed at the Central Deborah hotel a few times, it is honestly one of the cleanest motels that we have ever stayed at. The beds are so comfortable as are the pillows, the rooms are welcoming and decorated so you feel at home.
The staff are friendly and very welcoming, there were some minor works while we were here and they upgraded us so we were not disturbed at all (this only went on for a short period of the day)
We highly recommend this motel and suggest that you make your booking directly through them as they do offer you very good discounts and that way this family owned business will benefit from it.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay for the Elvis exhibition at the Bendigo gallery. The lady at reception was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our upstairs corner room was clean and spacious with an updated bathroom and heating was very effective (important for those chilly Bendigo winter nights!). There are two pubs within easy walking distance that offer excellent meals. Nights were quiet, considering the location on High Street, because of efficient window glazing and solid brick dividing walls. Town CBD and the Gallery were an easy 10-15 minute walk. The motel was fully booked each night but we didn’t hear any noise from other residents. Book ahead for this place as it’s popular and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended

Thanks Barb, for your very positive review! The whole team at CDM will be pleased with your comments about ‘cleanliness and friendliness’ – as this is our catchphrase for dealing with guests. The staff all appreciate their efforts being acknowledged. Glad to hear that your room was quiet and warm – since it has indeed been a chilly winter. The renovations completed over the Covid shutdown have made an immense difference to the ambience of rooms and guests’ comfort levels, especially that triple glazing you mentioned. Our central location is ideal for seeing the sights, finding hotels and restaurants, and visiting the art gallery. Our ‘reasonable’ price is especially important for people who choose to book direct, instead of using online travel agencies with their added commissions. We hope to welcome you again should you return to Bendigo in the future.

The receptionist was very pleasant. We were advised we had been given a good room (6). Thankfully it was on the ground floor and tucked away in the corner. The room had recently been refurbished and it was an absolute delight when we opened the door. It was fantastic, spacious, clean, fresh and modern. The rooms have triple glazed windows but can be opened for fresh air. Couldn't have wished for better. The last place we stayed at we struggled to find sufficient power points to recharge phones, ipads etc. This room, unbelievably had 24 power outlets - 8 at the bed, also with USB charging ports, 13 for the combined lounge/kitchenette, 3 in the bathroom- amazing. The kitchenette was well appointed with microwave, toaster, kettle, utensils for two and plunger coffee facilities. The room layout was great, with kitchen table and two chairs and there was another small table and two very comfortable tub chairs to relax and watch tv. The tv was great, I think about a 50 inch. The bathroom featured a large double shower and the all important waterpressure was great. The towels (bath sheets) were great. The queen bed was very comfortable and provided a restful sleep. There was a guest laundry which is free to use and washing powder was supplied, although we had our own capsules. Outside the room is a central courtyard with several tables and chairs. The location is great and central to town. Couldn't recommend this place any higher. This is probably the nicest accommodation we've ever had and reasonably priced. Would love to stay there again.

Back to you with the same powerful words Peter and Naomi - what an outstanding 5/5 comprehensive review. AT CDM we have spent a lot of time and effort getting our very solid and sound late 1980's motel to 2020+ standards - much of it done during the Covid lockdown. It is very pleasing to read that guests notice this and some like yourself are prepared to take the time to provide detailed feedback. Trip Advisor claims that many read these reviews, before booking direct with us - and based on verbal responses at the motel we think they are correct. As well as the internal attributes of the rooms - that you so well express - we have worked on the common areas and it is pleasing that these too are noticed. At present the front of our building is getting a face lift to more appropriately align with our recently won 4 star status. We hope you will return soon to see the difference beautiful lighting makes. Regards, Mark and CDM team.

The room was spacious and nicely refurbished, as was the bathroom.
Very comfortable bed.
The location is good and new triple glazing means rooms are quiet even though the motel is on a main road. Easy access to the CBD and Bendigo attractions.
Friendly, helpful service from Justin.
Only stayed one night, but would definitely recommend.

We stayed for one night in an Economy Queen Room. The room was spotless and had been partiallly refurbished, The motel website is very clear as to which rooms have had what level of refurbishment, so guests can make a choice on which room to choose.

Although located on the ground floor and adjacent to a major road, the triple glazing meant that we heard no road noise. Parking is available on site.

While the Motel is not in the centre of town, a number of eating options are available within walking distance.

Staff were very helpful when, after l had made my booking online, l telephoned them to advise l had made an error with the booking which they rectified for me promptly.

Carrie, we appreciate you taking the time to write a review on the CDM. As you suggest, potential guests can find out about all our rooms and amenities on our website; and then make a booking directly from there as well. The triple-glazing has been one of the most important renovations that were completed during the Covid lockdown. It has enhanced the comfort level of guests immeasurably. Thanks for acknowledging the great work of our staff. Their attention to detail with cleaning and their support on rectifying booking complications are all part of their dedication to ensuring guests enjoy their stay at CDM. We look forward to hosting you again, should you return to Bendigo.

We had a two night stay at this motel to see the Elvis dispaly and ride on the Elvis tram. Prices were very reasonable.

The location is around an 8 minute walk to town and our room was nice, quiet spacious and clean. It looks to have been updated quite recently.

The onsite managers were very helpful and the motel offers safe offsight parking at the rear of the motel.

The rooms windows were double glazed so despite being on a busy road no external road noise could be heard.

Unfortunately we were on the goround floor unit and there was lots of noise from the units above us as well as the cleaners early morning cleaning the aparments when the guests leave. They tend to chat loudly and bang things around without caring for sleeping guests. My wife is not a morning person and was hoping for a bit of a sleep in which wasnt really possible.

If I returned I would need to stay upstairs which hopefully is a lot more quiet.

Hi Tommo, Thanks for the review and feedback. We are glad you had a good stay with us and found our location to be a good base for the activities you had planned. The triple glazing has certainly made a huge difference to the amount of road noise heard in the rooms, and has the added benefit of being eco friendly by keeping the temperature more comfortable for our guests. We are sorry your experienced some noise in the morning, our cleaning staff start at 9 am on weekdays and at 10 am on weekends, and try to be respectful of in-house guests. We will pass this on to our excellent back-of-house team as a reminder for them.
