The Shamrock is a large historical pub with lots of character, we stay a lot in 4-5 star hotels, and looked forward to staying in the Shamrock for its history, our first impression was very positive . We found the hotel charming, and our room...More
Unfriendly service. Weren’t told of breskfast until I asked. The suite’s windows were so dirty you literally couldn’t see out. Pool towels had stains on them. There was a fly in our room. Not the level of cleanliness we expected of a boutique hotel. The...More
Had a family birthday dinner in the cafe. Service was friendly and the typical pub food was good value and delicious. Not too noisy in the dining area adjacent to the bar and our food came quickly. Parking around this venue is a bit of...More
Not what we expected. The hotel is quite outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpets are very old and need to be replaced. Some of the staff displayed good customer but one in particular didn’t even bother to call us, as promised. The...More

Shamrock doesn't have a car park but you can unload luggage at front door in a 15 minute parking space and then park in the Council car park which is a very short block away and quite convenient. I'm sorry that I can't remember the cost but it was very reasonable and we parked from Friday midday till Sunday 11am. If you had young family or elderly guests you could unload everyone and luggage at front door and they could wait in the very comfortable lounge area. There are a few steps up into the hotel itself and from memory, no ramps.
