Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights at the start of a Vic road trip but honestly could have stayed a week. Peaceful and comfy and great provisions (especially the tea!). We stayed in Robins Nest and even though the weather was chilly, we enjoyed a cup of tea on the veranda and read for ages. The garden is so pretty. Private and relaxing despite its great location close to town. Breakfast was beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were comfy and warm - sofa was so comfy. The bed was great - both had fantastic nights sleep. Was immaculately clean and just so welcoming. Highly recommend and hope to be back again from SA.

We spent two nights in Hyacinth Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The cottage was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Dianne as host was extremely welcoming and our two morning breakfasts (one cooked - one continental) were perfect and we were able to sit out in the beautiful garden to enjoy them each morning. Would highly recommend Bendigo Cottages to all travelers.

Bendigo Cottages are old miner's cottages which have been charmingly refurbished. Surrounded by extensive gardens the cottages have barbeques on the verandah, quality linen, a couch, television and a small but well stocked kitchen. There's also a bathroom off the kitchen. Diane the hostess is very attentive and provides a choice of breakfasts which are delivered to your cottage in the morning at your preferred time.

We spent 3 days in Bendigo at the Bendigo Cottages. What a beautiful setting. Our cottage( Hyacinth) was set in a beautiful garden with little places to sit in the sun and just listen to the birds. Our Hostess was very welcoming & pleasant. Breakfast was delivered to our cottage and was very enjoyable. Choice of cooked or Continental breakfast. Beds were comfortable and cottage very cosy. Will definitely visit again.

Location - in a lovely part of Bendigo and a quick 10 minute walk from town - where there is plenty to see and do. Amenities - everything that you need is thought through and lots of extras included. Property - well presented & maintained, very clean & cosy. A relaxing ambience has been created with each property carefully laid out where you have your own space to relax, visit the many sites in Bendigo or just relax in the tranquil cottage gardens or on the decking of the Rose cottage or Robin's Nest cottage. Cottage gardens - absolutely gorgeous - so much effort has gone into the many interesting features and plants that have taken shape over many years. Breakfast - well cooked and delicious, delivered to our cottage with a cheerful greeting each morning - just lovely. The cottages - 3 in total. Hyacinth & Robin's Nest are both so lovely, clean & cosy. We have stayed here twice recently because we loved it so much. Will definitely come back again and can highly recommend this gem of a property. Thanks Diane - you are the perfect host and you provided five star friendly and efficient service every time!!!

After multiple stays in Robin’s Nest and Rose Cottage over several years, and Hyacinth one time with extended family, it is long past time to write a review of this gem in Bendigo. As the website shows, and others have written, the site is peaceful but close to the Bendigo CBD and cultural, shopping and dining options. Just up the hill from the property there is a poignant reminder of the earlier mining days in Bendigo. The garden in the property and its grand old peppercorn trees are welcoming, as is Diane, ever helpful and creator of breakfasts to savour.

Loved our stay at this beautiful home, full of interesting art. The bed was very comfortable the home was clean and cosy, it has air con and central heating.Allen was very welcoming, there was fruit in the basket, everything you would ever need for breakfast including fruit loaf, eggs, bread, orange juice, milk, tea and coffee. The best thing was two meringues and four custard filled parties made by Allen ( what a treat) Everything you need is there, it has a delightful courtyard which is lovely to have your breakfast in. It's close to Bendigo attractions. We will be back thank you Allen
