Ray and Toni are very friendly hosts. The room itself is beautifully presented and has a very expansive comfortable four poster bed. Adjoining the bedroom is a small ensuite and a guest lounge, with tv, tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge and some nice biscuits and chocolates to have with a hot drink. Even though the room is within the main house, Ray and Toni ensured our privacy and we were able to come and go with our own key. We were there for the Elvis exhibition which was in walking distance. The city centre is not far either, so you could walk if a late night was planned. Breakfast the next day was delicious too. Thank you Ray and Toni for a lovely stay. We would strongly recommend.

Toni and Ray are kind, intelligent and helpful hosts who run a wonderful bnb. My every need was catered to without fuss. Gorgeous suite of rooms too, very close to town and in one of the historic parts. I enjoyed being at their place from start to finish.

A large and comfortable Bed & Breakfast in a very well maintained home. Good lounge for guests. A lovely bathroom with spa bath and excellent shower. The breakfast was brilliant. Thank to the hosts we also had an excellent dinner at a nearby "Pub" or hotel. We really liked our stay in Bendigo.

We recently visited Bendigo on one of our trips back to Victoria from Taiwan.
As Bendigo has a long history associated with the gold rush days we decided to find Bed and Breakfast accommodation located near the historical center …This turned out to be Antoinette’s… And what an ideal find. Located just up the hill behind the Cathedral, it was perfectly located close to CBD, the Arts Precinct & dining venues, and within walking distance of the historical centre of Bendigo.
Antoinette’s is a beautifully restored period home with Ray and Toni being the perfect hosts. Our bedroom came with a brass canopy bed on suite and an excellent breakfast each morning included. Ask Ray where the best Pub food in town is. You won’t be disappointed.
A short walk from Antoinette’s and you can hop on the The Historic Tram which runs down the main street and is a relaxing way of enjoying the Architectural and historic sites of Bendigo. Visit the old post office information center, have a lunch at the Historic Shamrock hotel and don’t miss The Chinese museum, one of the best museums I have ever seen. All within easy access from Antoinette’s
Ray and Toni have spent a lifetime in Bendigo and are only too happy to share some of their Bendigo knowledge with guests.
To any one visiting Bendigo I would recommend Antoinette’s Bed and Breakfast without hesitation. We stayed for 2 days and felt so at home we didn’t want to leave.
Looking forward to our next visit and no guesses where we will be staying…0417502349

A beautiful property, friendly owners, good location, great breakfast. Unfortunately it was lacking those extra touches expected at this price - lounge seating (springs), linen, toiletries.
Obviously the RAC 4 star rating was some time ago. With a little effort it could be back there making a much more comfortable stay.

Antoinette's is a few blocks from the centre of Bendigo - easy to get to all the restaurants and sights (the italian Toni recommended was excellent). If you are driving be warned about the junction at the end of the road - you have to enter in the right direction.

The house is huge - our room was at the front of the house, ensuite with a large sitting room attached. The sitting room has everything you need - fridge, tea and coffee plus shortbread biscuits and sweets. It is the little things that impress!

Breakfast was lovely (particularly the spinach and eggs) - served just off the kitchen. Toni and Ray are close by but never intrusive - ready to answer any questions you have and great just to talk to.

29th November 2017. We visited Bendigo to see the Edith Head exhibition. An exhibition of one of Hollywood’s most famous costume designers.
Planning to spend 2 nights in Bendigo, we decided to stay at a B & B we found years earlier. (Antoinette’s B & B) and were delighted to find the hosts Ray and Toni still there. It was like a home coming. They are still the warm welcoming couple we meet previously.
The front room with the large canopy bed and En suite was ours again. The lovely antiques, the décor and cleanliness we experienced last visit confirmed the care and time our hosts take to make visitors feel welcome. Antique shops, The Bendigo Art Gallery, Cafes and hotels are a short walk away making Antoinette’s location perfect when visiting Bendigo. The pub meal Ray recommended was as good as you would find anywhere. With room rates very reasonable for the area, I highly recommend Antionette’s to anyone visiting Bendigo.

Antoinettes Bed & Breakfast is a lovely old house in the central area of Bendigo. Ray is an exceptionally attentive host and went to the effort to call us several days before our visit to mention that they were having a heatwave. The room we booked did not have central air conditioning and he offered us the option of cancelling or making do with a portable aircon. This was very impressive and considerate customer service. We continued with the booking and coped very well with the heat courtesy of the portable aircon. Local yokels using central Bendigo as a drag strip from 11pm until 4am (do they employ only deaf police in Bendigo?) did not help but that had nothing to do with the BnB. If the drag racing is a regular occurrence, the Bendigo authorities need to do something about it.

A lovely, old-fashioned room with a four poster king bed (in the Federation Suite) provided a very restful night's sleep after a busy day running around Bendigo. Our hosts Ray and Toni were very friendly and accommodating and we can highly recommend the 'Eggs Antoinette' for breakfast: an English muffin topped with cheese, spinach, a poached egg and bacon on the side. A very fortifying breakfast that also included toast and the option of cereal as well.

As we were the only guests for the night, we had free run of the sitting room. Although the furniture was a little uncomfortable, we were provided with tea and coffee making facilities and shortbread and eclairs to snack on.

The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, although the toiletries provided were quite basic and I would recommend taking your own shampoo and conditioner rather than using those that were provided.

Ray was very helpful with advice regarding access to the town centre (it's about a 10 minute walk to the Fountain or Charring Cross) and suggestions for places to eat. We took up his advice of eating at the Gallery Cafe and the Malayan Orchid and were NOT disappointed with either.

Probably more suited to an older couple than us, but a beautiful house, fantastic hosts and a brilliant location!

"Ask if they've replaced the mattress in the room with the ensuite as the current one is showing age and has hollows/sags where people have been sleeping. Also ask if they've attended to the lock connecting this room to the lounge if you are not going to be the only guests."
