Stayed here recently for one night in the Canadian Gully and loved it. Rooms are not 5 star nor do you need them to be, room was clean and tidy but nothing fancy. We got a family package which included 2 day access to Sovereign Hill park as well and we could leave our room and be inside the park... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our Victorian road trip our biggest regret was not staying longer. we had such a great time the room it self was an average hotel room maybe 3.5 stars but super clean and tidy shower was very small but it worked well. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fantastic we really enjoyed our breakfasts... More

Well priced, clean and reasonably sized rooms in old buildings just outside the Sovereign Hill theme park.Centrally heated which is important in Ballarat in September. Couple of kms from city, but (irregular) buses from outside Sovereign Hill. Includes buffet breakfast.

We had never been to Melbourne before so we decided to visit Sovereign Hill in Ballarat and pay a bit extra for the Governor's Room. This was definitely worth it. Upon arrival in the cold, the room already had the heating on which was a welcome feeling. The bed was extremely comfy, very professional decorated room. Only issue was the... More

Pros: 1. Christmas lights 2. Buffet breakfast Cons: 1. Unwelcoming pushy receptionist 2. Paid for king size bed to wait for 2 single beds to be pushed together (pay the minor and do it yourself) 3. Stained and smelly bed sheets 4. Cob webs on windows and window handles 5. No ipod dock as featured on the website 6. Overcharged... More

This accommodation needs to seriously address their housekeeping (see attached pics). The whole place needs some TLC and money put into upgrades. The mattress on the queen bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The bunks only had one inadequate thin blanket. If your on the lower floor you can hear every move the people above make. We had the Xmas... More

Stayed here as part of a package with entry to sovereign hill, and would recommend that as the best way to see the place if you need to stay the night due to distance. The rooms are fairly basic, but very clean and comfortable. Good bathroom, comfortable beds, TV, tea and coffee facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly,... More

We stayed overnight at the sovereign hill hotel, which is immediately next to sovereign hill. It is so convenient for sovereign hill entry and the accommodation/entry/meals packages are good value. We really enjoyed being able to check into the motel, then slip through a side door and immediately be in sovereign hill. Our family room (not the budget accomodation) was... More

My wife and I stayed at the comfort inn hotel and found our room to be spacious, warm and overall very good. Wifi however, was hopeless in the room. The entry into sovereign hill was great, the devonshire tea was excellent and the light show was wonderful. The view of sovereign hill at night all lit up was spectacular. The... More
