The mid city hotel was very poor. It was clean which is important. The rooms badly need a makeover. The fridge had no freezer so no ice. Their was no toaster. The TV was extremely small. It cost $129 for Sunday night which was way too much. I wouldn't recommend it.

I recently spent the night at Mid City Hotel. Kylie and her family were both very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, tidy and fresh. Even though the rooms are older, I actually liked the 'retro' feel and look of the rooms, everything is kept very well. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a quality sleep. The...

My experience at Mid City Hotel! I had booked for 2 days & finally stayed a week! I found Kylie & her family, very friendly & kind. Motel is a little dated, but very clean! Modest prices, but then I was not looking for luxury, just a comfortable stay! Fabulous housekeepers, any little thing done for you, room stocked every...

The rudest receptionist I have ever come across, would not recommend this place to anyone. Kylie should reconsider her career choice as she is clearly unaware that she works in a service industry, being rude and abusive to people will only lead to bad reviews.

We stayed in room 1, the Executive King Suite. This was a huge 2 roomed space and was clean and tidy. The furniture looked alike it was placed awkwardly in the room, a lazy-susan had no purpose. The bed was as through we were sleeping 'down hill', we spun the pillows around and slept at the foot end. Also the...

A 1960/70's hotel located in the heart of Ballarat. Room size is fair and the bed relatively comfortable but the furnishings are from a generation ago and look their age. The shower was clean and in good shape but the temperature control was very fickle. The room had a fridge but no microwave. Efficient wall mounted A/C. Quiet room with...

Booked a family room with queen and 2 singles. Great central location. The 1960s facade is interesting but unfortunately it continues in the room which other than carpet curtains and loo hasn't been updated. As others mentioned, the flat screen is small for a big room for 4. It was clean and had what we needed but the plaster was...

Stayed three nights recently. Found service to be outstanding from arrival to departure. Room very clean although a little dated, but this is not an upmarket venue. Very commendable breakfast in dining room (could have had it brought to our room) with hot items cooked "just right" and terrific selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices, toasts and jams etc. Bed...

We recently stayed at Mid City this would be about the 6th. time we have stayed at this Hotel. It is centrally located walking distance to all the Restaurants and shops etc .Although we had a problem with noisy neighbours on the last night, the manager and his wife handled the situation in a very professional manner. Manager Mark and...
