Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A pleasant welcome to the motel and a nice room with a microwave and fridge with rockery an cutlery. A comfortable bed. Unfortunately when it was windy, the wind rather seemed through the cracks in the door which made it rather chilly. It had a nice rose garden. A reasonable walk to the only restaurant open (others were permanently closed) a block and a much longer uphill walk to the local IGA grocery store. A 20-3 minute walk to downtown Ballarat. The Eureka Centre was across the road.

A really well kept Motel complex. Can tell that it is a labour of love for the operators. We stayed in the 2 bedroom units, and they were just great for our visit. The unit is very spacious and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is huge and excellent for wheelchair access.

We stayed at Eureka Lodge Motel as were attending a family event in the heart of Ballarat. It is only a 5-10 minute drive into town centre, close enough to the shops, however far enough away to make it a quiet location. Comfortable bed, couch in room, electric blanket and heater were ideal for a cold and crisp weekend, basic cutlery and crockery provided, even though bathroom has older fixtures very well maintained, the decor in room has been updated and everything is clean and tidy! Check in was straight forward and owners pleasant and welcoming. Bonus Indian restaurant across the street which had tasty food at a reasonable price! Could possibly have more people coming and going in the summer months being opposite the Eureka Swimming Pool.

This hotel is always clean, comfortable and friendly. This is an older dated hotel, however this is more than made up for by a warm good nights sleep, and always a friendly service from a genuine family run business. My go to hotel in Ballarat.

Nice location, quiet and clean room. Room is very spacious and well maintained. Plus they also have cutleries, plates, cups that you can use - with fridge, kettle, microwave too. Will definitely stay here when we visit Ballarat again.

Wheelchair bound the disabled rooms are fantastic, only thing I'd change is the front door it's difficult to shut due to the path outside it going downwards. The rooms are always clean and neat. The staff are lovely and they go out of their way for you. We stay quite often and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Just a simple basic motel room with the usual. It seemed clean. Only a little fridge and TV. The air-conditioning was a little hard to get right. The shower recess was extra long and it was a great shower. The bed was just basic but very comfortable. The price was good and the staff helpful. Good position near the Eureka Centre and waterpark and playground.

I often stay there. Staff are wonderful, and the price is great. Usually I stay in a Queen or Twin room, which are fantastic, but a couple of times I’ve stayed in an apartment, with great cooking facilities, and loads of room to stretch out. Perfect for yoga. If you don’t mind spending a few extra $ grab an apartment, but all the rooms are great.

A large Motel right next to the Eureka Centre at Ballarat. Large Comfortable rooms and stocked with all the usual requirements. I think that this place has had an upgrade. It shows and is all the better for it. No cheap Motels in Ballarat (that are livable anyway) but this one stacks up well against the others. Fantastic location for historic touring. Recommend.

WE were a little late and collected our key from the locked box using the pin number sent to our phone. The room was neat and clean; quite spacious, catering for 3-4 so goodly size for a couple. Bathroom a good size and comfortable beds; bedding was clean. All necessary items supplied such as hairdryer, tissues, microwave, toaster and jug. We were there for two nights but the house staff did not replace the jams for the second day. There were other condiments but we liked the jam. We were out all day so could not speak to anyone about this when we got back. Also only ONE teaspoon was supplied although 2 of everything else. Did not really speak to any staff during our stay so can't comment on interaction with them. The motel is in the south part of Ballarat; it is off main roads and quiet. There are some eating places within 1 km but the motel is 5 - 6 minutes drive from popular restaurants towards the city centre. It was certainly more than adequate for our purposes.
