Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had booked ahead, however for family reasons we had to change our dates and weren’t sure how many days we could stay. The staff were so understanding and let us just take it day by day. We ended up having 4 nights at their lovely park, clean ,tidy and the new drive through are great. Top G’Day park👍

The Eureka Stockade Holiday Park is very well located in terms of access to the Ballarat CBD and especially to the Eureka Centre. The one bedroom villa was comfortable and well equipped, with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. The only problem was a malfunctioning electric blanket (on a very cold night). The management promised that it would be replaced immediately.

My sister and I with 4 teenagers and 2 large dogs (very gentle and quiet dogs) stayed in a 3-bedroom Cabin. It exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean, quiet and spacious. Plenty of space for us all. Modern facilities and everything was working well. Park had plenty of green spaces for dogs and teenagers to explore. Customer service was extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here on our trip to Ballarat, very central to main city area. We had a cabin with an en suite outside the cabin, really big bathroom. We didn’t have a problem with this at all. Cabin was clean & tidy, where able to cook a meal in the cabin, well equipped. Would stay again if ever this way again.

We were welcomed into the park and made our way to the cabin, first impressions certainly last. The holiday park is not like the pictures first up, so do your research before confirming a visit to see if it is something you are happy with. There was bits of our stairs missing and rubbish on the verandah (half a dozen open sugar packets and a toy of some sort) - also, an ashtray. For a family unit, a non smoking one, who has ashtrays anymore? It was dirty too, something to keep the toddler away from. Upon entry the cabin was suitable, neat, clean and tidy and suitable for our needs. The room with two bunks in it was VERY small. If there really was FOUR children in there, they would kill each other after a night or two. Upon further inspection, the cleaners really ignored a significant portion of the property. There were multiple lolly wrappers throughout, a pegged up chip packet in the wardrobe, empty chocolate milk bottle under the couch. NOTE: upon exit, we informed the staff and they said next time to tell them straight away and they will send the cleaners back, point taken, however it should never be in that state in the first place. TOILET: Missing a button and the pressure was terrible, it didnt flush everything down all the time.. (kinda ew). THE PARK: **The Park was smaller than first thought, felt a little old and dated and quite cramped but did the job for a few days. **Access to the swim centre next door was easy enough, just a quick walk and a show of your cabin key to enter (not sure what you would do if you had a site?) **The games room - as many people have said, a lot was broken and didnt work. The kids still had fun playing pretend however. **No coffee machine, - everywhere advertised the coffee machine for use in the camp kitchen. This was $3 but displayed an error message on the screen. DEVESTATING. (well for me anyway). SUMMARY Ok for a few nights, check the room (if you have a cabin) is clean and provide feedback ASAP if you are not happy, staff seem happy to help. 3 Stars

I realised when I arrived at the office that I had made an error in my booking email more than six months prior. They had us down as arriving the week after. The two patient and kind women on reception took the time to assure me they could help work out a solution. They put us on two preliminary sites for a night until ones around the area I had requested were available and gave me some options. This patient understanding was most appreciated. We enjoyed a week here as a family of 6 on two sites in the back caravan sites under the trees. Hot mid 30's weather so the pool next door was great to use and entry included in the stay. Amenities adequate. Thanks Eureka.

We travelled with our family, including one wheelchair bound, and were allocated 2 side by side drive through sites which was great. Our booking was made in May 22. Upon arriving at our site we were gobsmacked to see the condition of our area. It was disgusting! The site was loose dolomite dust covered with dry crispy gum leaves and not a blade of green grass. It was situated at the end of the park adjacent to the golf course. Apart from the dust and filth we had to endure for 5 days especially with young kids the toilet etc amenities were quite a distance away. Even placing a large ground mat down did not keep the the dirt, dust and leaves away. In my opinion this site should have been cleared of leaves and tidied for the next occupancy. Whilst we were there we did not see one maintenance person either watering or clearing as is the usual practice. Also near us the rubbish bins were mostly overflowing and no recyle bins available. Showers were OK. Water was hot and strong but lacked cleaning . I used the same shower cubicle for three days and a dead bug had not been removed until I got rid of it. The ensuite bathroom we were fortunately given which we appreciated helped my son in law with his wheelchair depedancy. We did however have to remove cobwebs and clean the floor of a multitude of bugs before use. The outside fluro light didn't work so night trips needed a torch.. On entrance to the park it looks lovely and lush with healthy trees but unfortunately our location was not so. I recommend anyone booking a poweredsite to ask questions We have travelled extensively and failed to ask relevant questions and as a result had a disappointing stay in Ballarat.

Ive realised that we should pay no attention to pictures on website as most are not true representations of the parks. This was the case here as well. We got the impression that there was a pool on site but it was next door and did not belong to the park itself. And get this it is closed between 10am and 4pm!! We wanted grass but they gave us gravel. We did take the ensuite option though. The ensuite was dirty when we got there with leaves and dust which you may consider normal but not the human hairs on the floor. The fan, full of lint, in the ensuite did not work which meant that the room fogged up. But worst of all the shower door had dropped and would stick to the frame of the shower. Okay a little force and it would spring open. However my wife has a disability and found it hard to apply too much force. On one occasion she became trapped in the shower because she could not force the door open and had to scream and yell for attention. We advised that the door stuck earlier and were told by the maintenance person that he was aware of the problem. So why wasn't it fixed? The gravel made the dog dirty and our feet dirty which would be carried into the van. Not happy
