The Hotel is a beautifully decorated Art Deco period style. Very comfortable and feels like a Boutique Hotel. The room we chose was a King bed Deluxe room, which was large, with a modern large bathroom, equipped with two dual showers and a Terrace.
We received a $15 voucher usable for food and beverages, to which we put towards our breakfast and some delicious cakes homemade at Oscar’s.
Located in the heart of Ballarat, an easy walking distance to stroll around the town.
The Staff were very friendly, relaxed and welcoming.
It is very popular with the locals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Parking is off street around the back of the Hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights at Oscars, and ate breakfast and lunch here .The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and professional. The restaurant has a great selection of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The salads we had were light, fresh and tasty. The central location meant that once we arrived and parked our car we could walk everywhere. For what is on offer and the great location we thought it was great value for money.

Oscar's is a lovely old Art Deco hotel which has been modernised while retaining some features. The meal & service were second to none (including a better know larger hotel round the corner), staff are incredibly accommodating. The rooms and premises were impeccably clean and upstairs was super quiet. Located right in the heart of Ballarat, it was an easy walk to all the things you would need. My next visit to Ballarat will be planned further ahead to see that I can secure a balcony room. Highly recommend a visit to Oscar's whether staying over or looking for somewhere with great food!

We walked in looking for a room and dinner. Fiona at reception immediately took the time to take us upstairs and show us the range of rooms available. Very friendly, cheerful & professional. We chose a room facing away from the street and it was perfect, very quiet, well appointed, comfy bed, warm and with fast wi-fi. Dinner was excellent, good choice of drinks and Brett was outstanding, taking the time, more than once, to recommend things to do in & around Ballarat based on our time-frame. Good location in the heart of Ballarat. Hotel has its own parking space. No lift so you'll need to carry luggage up and down. Noise from events below can last into the night. Room has a few surfaces to put things but they are all narrow or small. Good sized room that was clean. Shower was great.

What a great experience. Power was out but didn’t stop business as they kicked in with special menu. Good food staff was excellent and showed good management as they had everything pre organised and no one especially the patrons were confused

The power outage certainly did make for an interesting time but the staff did a tremendous job of maintaining a smooth running floor and to provide excellent assurance for the guests in the restaurant so they were not confused and enjoyed their dining experience.

The food was excellent and my partner was given a separate gluten free menu on request, as she's coeliac. The place is a lovely art deco hotel and we ate in the atrium section. Service was spot on. The menu was very varied, with plenty of options. Would certainly go back there again.

Noisy function venue with accommodation upstairs, uncomfortable bed, tiny cold dingy room with no storage. No mention of disruptive noise in rooms prior to our stay or at check in. Spoke to duty manager, didn’t really care or offer any recompense. Accommodation parking taken up by restaurant patrons so no available parking on site…can only imagine reviewers giving this place 5 stars are used to camping. I’ve been on more comfortable school camps! You’ve been warned!

A more upmarket place for breakfast as its attached to accommodation. Seating is excellent and the menu is extensive. Great views out the large windows at the front and there are eating areas at the back. There is a bar. Service was friendly and very professional as you would expect. Food was fresh, well cooked and the coffee was good. Lots of parking nearby
