Convenient location. Minimal road noise despite being on the main street. Noise was from neighbouring rooms but it is to be expected from the build/design from these older motel style accomodation. Property was well maintained. Free parking just outside the room. Friendly and helpful owner who checked us in on arrival. Room itself - very clean and spacious. Kettle, toaster, cutlery, microwave fridge, hair dryer. There was a sign in the kitchenette area that only appliances provided in the room were to be used and that no seafood was to be cleaned in the sinks - which we appreciated - can imagine the mess and smell that may have been left to prompt the notice. Lots of power points to charge phones etc. Furniture slightly dated and bathroom but very clean. Bed - slightly soft but OK. Wifi was provided but not used so cannot comment re: speed/signal. Room rate was very reasonable. If I was back in the area, I will definitely stay here again. …

Very friendly and obliging welcome to a spotlessly clean motel. Facilities were up to date and well maintained. Little touches like sweets and a well stocked fridge were appreciated. A comfortable bed and good blackout curtains made for a a relaxing night's sleep. Highly recommended.

The Colonial Motel was our oasis on overnight stay during our driving holiday. The room was spotless, the bed was heaven and the facilities are top notch. It's the the little extra's we found here that touched us. It feels like they have stayed over and knew exactly what people would need and appreciate when they stay. Well done to the managers of this hotel - wish we could stay longer. Great hotel in this beautiful place called Bairnsdale. We did the Koala trail at Raymonds Island (info given by manager when we asked of something to do to fill in the the rest of the day) and we had a lovely time going over on the ferry and walking the trail, stretching our legs after being car bound for quite a few hours. The Information Centre were also quite helpful - Thank you :)

Excellent facilities spacious rooms, lots of little extras and very clean. friendly staff willing to accommodate any requests I would stay here again when traveling in the area. Crockery provided and a mini bar. Plenty of cups and cold glasses

Excellent accommodation friendly helpful staff. Older style with older service and consideration. Very clean and extremely well equiped. Bed comfortable. Will visit again and highly recommend. Located close to town centre but very quiet.

This is an older style motel complex located just a 10 minute/1 km walk from the town centre with spacious, clean rooms that are very well equipped with a kitchenette and large bathroom. The rooms are well designed with plenty of power and USB charging points and places/shelves for your luggage and personal effects. They even had decent wine in the minibar, leaf tea and ground coffee! Debbie is lovely and the staff are also very friendly. This is country hospitality at its best and really good value for money!

We were late arriving in town and had not booked ahead. Greeting was prompt and friendly. Our room was immaculate. They had Thought of everything. Even supplying loose tea and plunger coffee. Bed linen was excellent as well as a comfortable bed and pillows. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. Congratulations to those involved with the running of this establishment.

This motor inn is conveniently on the highway, central to town, but our room was set back a bit so minimal traffic noise. Nice large room, very clean, comfortable king bed with good quality linen and towels. Kettle, toaster and microwave supplied as well as hygienically clean crockery and cutlery. Mini bar stocked but we didnt use it. Plenty of furniture with table and chairs to eat at as well as sofa. Well set up bathroom Friendly reception with both owner and her lovely dog, a boxer! Would definitely recommend this place
