This place is gold, with traditional caring & hospitality & classic period rooms. Shannon & Craig are fantastic hosts, just the sort of people who should be in the hospitality game. Our room was HUGE, furnished in keeping with period go the building but with all modern conveniences. Apart from a great place to stay they also have a lovely...

Thank you for the glowing review of our lovely property, Ashton Gate. We have looked at the portable ramp option that you advised us on, a great idea, thank you. It is a pleasure to host such postive people and reassures us that the hospitality industry is a great one to be involved in. We look forward to seeing you...

Unfortunately due to an accident earlier in our holiday in Tasmania I was on crutches. My husband and I were waiting for repatriation. Craig and Shanon were absolutely brilliant they rearranged our accommodation to make it easier for me. They allowed us (me) to hang around all day as I needed to rest my leg. The breakfast everyday was great....

It was a pleasure to have you and Paul stay with us, even if it was under unfortunate circumstances. Craig and I enjoyed having a chat over the days you were layed up with your broken leg and now feel that you both are part of the Ashton Gate family. We wish you safer travels back to the UK and...

Stayed one night. Lovely property and very welcoming hosts. The room was quiet and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Had a lovely breakfast of stewed fruit followed by poached egg with bacon and toast which set me up nicely for the rest of the day. Planning a return stay when visiting Launceston for other events.

This historic building, now a great guest house is wonderful. The rooms are of adequate size with good bathrooms but it is the other parts of the building that make it more like a home. There is a lovely comfortable lounge with complimentary sherry and the like and the breakfast room in the rear that is also excellent. Old photos...

We had spent several days hiking in Cradle Mountain, and were in need of a break. There was a lovely warm welcome waiting for us at Ashton Gate, including an orphaned pademelon. The b&b is under new management. Shannon and Craig have worked to rebuild the business and everything was as it should be. Rooms were really comfortable with the...

A few years ago we were delighted with the charm and location of Ashton Gate. So when we had a family wedding in Launceston , we couldn't think of a better place for our family and friends to stay. New owners Shannon and Craig could not have more welcoming and helpful in our time there. There is a Victorian charm...

The white picket fence that surrounds the property sets the scene for this B&B. Set on hill not far from the centre of Launceston is this lovely white house, and when you step inside you are warmly greeted by Craig and Shannon the owners. All the furniture, pictures and ornament are either from yesteryear or replicas of yesteryear. Our room...

Such a delightful B&B in Launceston - highly recommended. We stayed in the Jennifer Cottage which is perfect for 3 people or a small family. The new owners are lovely, breakfast was a treat and the location is perfect for walking around Launceston. The place and grounds are so quaint and delightful.

We spent two nights here whilst on a week long visit to Tasmania. The house itself is a delightful Victorian building furnished in keeping, and with beautiful gardens.
