We admittedly only spent one night here, but were overall impressed.
Many of the furnishings seem to have been recently updated, and in fact, the photos online don't do the rooms justice. Our suite was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little on the old side, but clean and well maintained. The bed was huge and firm, but comfortable.
Contactless-check in process meant you just used a code to enter your room, which suited us fine.
Our main criticism is that the walls/ceiling is very think and we were woken up in the morning with lots of noise from upstairs. If you're a light sleeper or are easily disturbed by noise, then I would ask for a higher floor room or avoid the hotel altogether.
Otherwise, the hotel was well located, just a stroll from the CBD, and had easy on-site parking.
Breakfast wasn't offered, although they have previously in the past.

Hideaway is centrally located, within walking distance to all the shops and dining in town. We had room 7, a upstairs room with a great view of town and stunning sunsets each night. The room was so homely and even had special touches that are not found in a normal hotel room ( heater on when we arrived, electric blanket on the bed, micellar water and pads to remove makeup in the bathroom, quality toiletries, mentos with the tea and coffee station, cutlery and crockery if you wanted to have takeaway in your room). The bed was super comfy, heaps of parking and the staff so friendly when I called to enquire about after hours check in. Key code pads on the doors make this super easy and you dont have to worry about a key. Great stay in a great spot!

We were pretty happy with our stay at the Hideaway, which is just a few blocks from downtown Lonnie, with its many good cafes and shops. While George St is busy, the hotel's 'hideaway' location is set well back from the street so is very quiet and its elevation gives good views across the city. The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious enough, wifi reception good. Two things bothered: there was just one towel rail (and no hooks) in the otherwise excellent bathroom; secondly, the noise coming from the next rooms. The walls seemed to be solid brick but we one could hear muted conversations from the next room.

The good: convenient, free parking, King bed, large shower, decent sized room with separate sofa. Excellent quality coat hangers provided and plenty of them in the wardrobe.
The bad: mattress was very firm and not particularly comfortable. No heating in bathroom so it was freezing! Basic furnishings.
The really bad: The noise from the guests in the upstairs unit is so loud, you hear every movement, every conversation, every toilet flush to the point that it disturbed our sleep and made for an unpleasant stay. Added to that, one morning during our stay the cleaner attempted to enter our room whilst we were in the room! We were glad we’d put the chain across the door or it might have been a very unpleasant experience for everyone! The cleaner did not knock and we were not expecting them as we’d been instructed by the receptionist to put out the sign on the door if we wanted s room refresh (which we had not done).

We had 7 AM pick up for tours and wouldn't have chance to have breakfast. When we informed the hotel staff via email they placed 2 types of cereals, 2 fruits, milk, yogurt etc. for us in all 3 rooms the night before. We didn't request for this and were amazed at their readyness to go that extra mile. The place is set away from the street but still very convieniently located. Very clean with a cottage like feeling. They have beautiful flowers in their yard. They even let us use their electricity converter since we didn't have one. All in all we were very happy with this place.

We enjoyed our stay here, the room is a good size with a large, comfy bed. The bathroom felt as if it was recently renovated and was well presented with nice local toiletries. The room has a tv, sofa, small fridge and a kettle.
Note that some rooms are upstairs and you will need to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs, request a ground floor room if this is a bother for you.
Car parking is very close and free.
Town is a 5-10 minute walk, restaurants are close by.

We arrived earlier then expected but our host was able to move us to an earlier-cleaned room which was most appreciated. There is a secure car park and is located near the heart of Launceston. The bed was comfy and the shower was good as well. The rooms appear to be very new due to the new carpet smell. Happy to stay here agin.

As a couple we stayed one night here, the rooms were very large and clean. The motel is a short walk from the center of town and close to many eating places. Booking in was easy. I would recommend a ground floor room if you have large suitcases and there is only stairs to the second floor. I would stay again if in Launceston.

A fantastic place to stay. Right in the middle of where you want to be in Launceston and big comfy spacious suites! Clare was an amazing help to us when a noise was waking us up and was kind enough to offer us another room. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms spacious and it was nice to have a little area with couches and a tv for relaxing in the evenings.

Stayed here for three nights, great location off the street with plenty of food and drink options nearby. Close to the Church with bells that go off every 15-30 minutes roughly. The shower can take a bit of time to get to the right temperature and sometimes causes a bit of flooding to the floor, not a major issue though. Would definitely recommend to others, and the daily housekeeping if you want it was always immaculate.
