Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel, large rooms, views of the river and also 10 ish minutes walk to town. It is easy to walk on the river boardwalk to Stillwater and to the Peppers Silo hotel for dinner or lunch. The downside is the doof doof music from the restauro/bar downstairs which is way too loud and goes on all night. That was a big negative for me-travellers value sleep.

Great place to stay overlooking the harbour with cafe on ground level and excellent restaurants close by. Rooms are large with full kitchen, lounge and balcony. Bedroom was lovely with comfy bed and the bathroom had a decent sized shower with all the bells and whistles. There was a little noise around 7.30am with trucks on main road but not overly annoying. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends

We were a family group and booked 3 river view rooms. Perfect location with a a number of good quality restaurants at your door step. Car parking although not included was available and the hotel provided a very reasonable flat rate for our stay. Everything was great, comfortable beds, very clean and spacious.

Great spot to stay in Launceston. On the river. Cafes restaurants and walks nearby. Spacious clean rooms. Views to the river. Would stay again. And Trip advisor wants a min of 200 characters and I’ve said all I need to say, so…..…..…….200 done.

Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds and rooms, scenic location which is enjoyed best from the waterfront rooms which have great view of the water and walking / running path along the harbour. Delicious food available nearby, we really enjoyed the food and dining experience at Mudbar. We will happily stay again when in Launceston next.

The hotel staff were extremely accommodating, finding a room for us at short notice and also providing a cot, high chair and toys for our toddler. Very friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location, close to nice restaurants, and the room was very comfortable.

Well appointed, room was large and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Loved the open living and balcony overlooking the Tamar River. Location was great for cafe below for breakfast and there is a lovely cocktail lounge for cocktails overlooking the boats and river.

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Tasmania. Were given an upgrade to a marina view suite as hotel loyalty programme members. Room was excellent, with full kitchen area including washer and dryer, lounge and separate bedroom and bathroom. Small balcony overlooking the marina. The location at the marina is good as there are several restaurants adjacent to the hotel, and it is easy walking into the shopping areas in Launceston. The hotel’s sister hotel is across the bridge and you can access this if you wish. Our only criticism of the hotel is the almost constant loud music from Mudbar, which is a bar/restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel building, but does not belong to the hotel. There are speakers outside on the marina walkway, and any room like ours at the back of the hotel cannot escape the noise, which goes on until around midnight. We did ask if we could move rooms, but the hotel was full. For us this took the edge off what should have been a very comfortable stay, and on that basis we would not stay here again.
