We stayed at this hotel because it is close to the pool where we were attending a competition. Parking at the pool for competitions always seems expensive and difficult and we were able to walk from our hotel in 2 minutes.
The family room was very spacious with one double, one king single and two singles - easily sleeping five.

The bathroom has a bath and shower combined. They also explain their use of toilet paper brand as a brand that assists remote comunities around the world to build and access hygienic toilet facilities.

The sleeping and living area is one very large space. A small fridge, microwave and tea and coffee facilities are available. We brought bowls and spoons and breakfast food with us to help keep costs reasonable.

We walked into the city centre in about 8 minutes for lunch and could also access the City Park in about 5 minutes.

We will definitely be returning to this hotel for its ease of use, proximity to the pool and city centre and extra-helpful and friendly staff.

This is a well-priced hotel with a very good location to be able to visit central Launceston. The dealings with management were excellent and the respectful and ‘can do’ approach were most appreciated. The family rooms have fridge, microwave and kettle which is enough for a short stay. Walk to arcades and City Park are less than 10 minutes and the hill is short if a bit steep. Would definitely make this a go-to when staying in Launceston.

Second stay here at this Coach House in Launceston. The 1st room we booked directly and we stayed in a lovely room, complete with eating table & 2 chairs as well as a lovely little coffee pod coffee maker. Nice coffee too. We also had several bottles of drinking water to use on that occasion. On this occasion, our room, $100 cheaper when booked with a third party for two nights, lacked the nice points mentioned above. No dining table, only one chair, no coffee machine & no bottled water. The Coach House is close to St Luke's hospital yet other hotels are closer to the town center. Parking is easy and there is no restaurant. They have a public laundry and the machines take $2 & $1 coins.

The room was tired unfortunately the Queen bed was unsuitable as the mattress was beyond its useful life . Lucky there were two other beds we could sleep in Needs a lot of work to modernize and upgrade. If the bed is bad it means the basics need attention, We arrived in the afternoon and the garbage bin on the landing was smelling and needed emptying. The next morning was worse. still not emptied for possibly 2 days. Attention to simple things would make a difference.

We have stayed at this location many times in the past and have noticed a decline in the accommodation.
This recent stay we were in the front building on the top floor. This was a family suite, even though there was just the two of us. the room consisted of a queen bed and two single beds, no couch. The room was very dated as was the bathroom. We stayed three nights and the room was never cleaned during this time. The rubbish built up, I couldn't see a skip bin anywhere. Also a downside was having to carry everything up the staircase. No undercover parking. I consider this place to be overpriced and won't return. Stayed in the Country Club Launceston on our return from the East Coast, which was cheaper and so much nicer

Have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years when in town on business. Rooms have all been refurbished with great views over the Tamar Valley, beds are comfy and staff are all exceptionally pleasant. Grab a room on the top level for your stunning views or maybe even ask for that wonderful spa room if you’re in town on holidays!

Clean and quiet rooms. The views from our rooms were good and the service from reception was good. They do not do daily housekeeping of rooms if you are staying multi nights, I take this as a pro but personal preference. Not great TV reception but not a big deal plus the weather wasn't great. We stayed here for 3 nights in total, 1 night before Cradle Mountain and 2 after so we had different rooms, the rooms of the top-level is quieter than the middle level but not so bad it keeps you up, you can just hear peoples footsteps from the level above.

Unbelievable. Our door wouldn’t unlock, so we had to get management to come up and help. After fiddling about for a few minutes he unlocked the door and said the lock was faulty he would get maintenance to have a look at it. Maintenance never arrived, so we had a major drama every time we arrived back at our room. Once inside, the room was dirty, there were coffee rings on the bedside tables, and the curtains were hanging off the track which made it difficult to close then. Cups, bowls and cutlery was supplied but nothing to wash and dry them with. There was used soap in the shower, the toilet leaked. They did not come in to freshen the room, bins not emptied, surfaces not wiped down and there was no extra roll of toilet. We went to management to get clean bowls and toilet paper, his response the girl must have missed our room. We had early starts both days we were there, so there was plenty of time for housekeeping to do their job. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Spent 3 nights at the coach house and was pleasantly surprised, considering hoe affordable the room was.

Pros:
*Room was very spacious, with huge bed, comfortable bathroom and seperate toilet.
*Great location, 2mins walk to city park (make sure to visit the Japanese Macaques) and only 10mins into heart of the city.
*Excellent value for money.

Cons:
*Shower was constantly changing from hot to cold which made for a very unpleasant experience.

*Would prefer swipe card rather than physical key, easier to store and less likely to forget.

*Carpark is at extreme angles, good luck if your car is low as it will scrape!

Would recommend and stay again!

Stayed here in early May and was very impressed by the size of my single room. The bed was comfortable and the only noise that I'd notice during the night was the rubbish truck collector. Sometimes in the evening I was able to hear guests in other rooms, but this wasn't generally noticeable. Rooms are on three floors, with the top two being only accessible by stairs. Location is fantastic, as it's only a 10 minute walk down the hill to the CBD.
The carpark was probably the most stressful part of my stay, as it is on such an angle that parking was anxiety-inducing. Some parts of the carpark are almost on a 45 degree angle, and if your car is low to the ground the only safe way out is to go back up the hill and out the main entrance, as the owners advised me that cars can get scraped when heading out of the exit. It was also disappointing that the fridge wasn't turned on before I arrived, as I didn't realise this until the next morning and found all the cold food I'd bought the night before was ruined. Room servicing isn't provided unless you request it, but you can visit reception until about 8pm if you require towels, cutlery etc. Otherwise it was a lovely room and made for a pleasant stay.
