Detailed Reviews
Loved our stay in Apartment 2, very clean and comfortable with awesome views over Launceston, felt like a local staying here. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. The attention to detail throughout the apartment make this a special place. Very close to town, the brochures and information about Launceston were much appreciated. Thanks and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Stayed here with three adults and a child and it was fantastic for our needs. The city is in easy walking distance and the set up of the apartment was just what we need. Well laid out and clean with good cooking facilities. Free parking also a good bonus so close to the city.

The apartment itself is pleasant and clean. However, apartment 4 where we stayed was *extremely* noisy. We literally could hear every footstep from the apartment above us. At some points I thought the lounge room windows were about to break because the simple act of the people walking in the apartment above us was shaking them so badly. We could hear every conversation they had and it sounded like they were dragging furniture around non stop. The location was great as it was very close to the CBD. But it was like living in a tent without the bugs. Booked through Expedia. Would never book this place again purely due to the extremely excessive surrounding noise.

Hello Hmmmm Its always surprising how some people love an apartment like the guests before you and some people don't , some people are positive and some are negative . Maybe a phone call to the manager could have helped ?

We found ourselves needing accommodation in Lonnie at fairly short notice, during what must have been a busy weekend, as there was not a lot on offer.
We didn't expect much from Highbury, which was one of the few places to have any rooms left at all. So we were pleasantly surprised to find it clean and convenient and quite reasonable.
It is an older building, but didn't feel neglected. Somebody has taken a lot of care with the garden.
We also found that the windows had been opened prior to our arrival, which meant our first impressions were of a fresh, light and airy place.
The wooden stairs and balcony left me feeling just a little shaky (I suspect they will ne re-doing in the not-too-distant future) but the views were amazing.
There is nothing flash about this place, but it was in a great location (close to the aquatic centre, parks and the CBD) and comes with free wi-fi and parking.
We have no complaints. The only reason it gets a score of 3/5 is so that we don't give people the impression that it offers anything fancy. If your expectation is something like a motel, but with less of a 'chain' feel to it and more character, then it would get 5/5.

This place is great. Could do with a lick of paint but if you want value for money, in a central location with views to die for then book in to the Highbury Apartments
97 Arthur Street, Launceston, Tasmania. We had apartment 6. Two bedrooms, open plan living and dining with a gorgeous deck with view across the city, down the river and on a clear day out towards the coast down the valley. The place is also full of character with some original fixings in place. To top it off, flat screen TV, washing machine and drier and a fully kitted out kitchen with china mugs. Nice one Highbury Apartments!

The Highbury Apartments are in a fantastic location with off street parking. We stayed in apartment 3 which was roomy and clean. The laundry facilities are a good inclusion. Unfortunately the people staying above us were continually moving back and forwards in their apartment which became quite annoying – nothing that the owners could control of course.
f we had any complaints it was that there was no cable TV which was disappointing. Additionally there was confusion over the provided breakfast. We booked for two nights thru Agoda which included breakfast. Clearly there were not enough supplies for two people for two nights. There was enough milk, juice and coffee/tea sachets however limited butter, only two cereals, two Vegemite, two jam and some bread. We mentioned this to the owner who clearly believed there were enough provisions. It was not worth pursuing. The conflict is that Agoda charged for two nights and the Highbury website states only the first night is gratis. There was also very little dish or clothes washing liquid.

We stayed here inadvertently after a major Launceston hotel bungled our booking. The apartments are in a good position overlooking Launceston and our apartment was huge with adequate facilities and an ideal working area with great views. The manager was the friendliest, most helpful lady. The price was more than reasonable. Most attractions are within a 10 minute walk and the nearby park and cafe were terrific. 5 stars!
