The home is gorgeous, parking tight. The ensuite was very small and overall the presentation was a bit stuck in the 1980s. The hosts were very casual - not a very professional outfit. The location was good but Launceston is an odd place - very country town. Industrial/functional meets residential/commercial. Tamar River cruise great and we loved the Cataract Gorge....

We stayed at Kilmarnock House 25 years ago and have great memories of billowing lace curtains, gleaming wood and a warm welcome. Twenty-five years later and the host does not greet you but chain smokes out the back on their phone. We waited and waited and did not realise that he was the housekeeper. On top of our 2 night...

Stayed for 2 days. Check in was almost non existent. We arrived at 9pm. Called the number on the main door. Was given the password for the key box and we were in the building. Room smelled funny. We were in room 8. No housekeeping service offered. This place is managed by two young Chinese couple. Not very professional but...

Stayed here to visits friends and an appointment the following day made sense instead of driving back up the coast then back down again. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and I was very warm. The bathroom was well appointed with an amazing shower. Close to all facilities and the CBD and is on good bus...

A truly delightful Grand House. I spent 2 nights here whilst completing a training course, and it was simply superb. The house itself is a great sight, and the room was ultra convenient and comfortable. That said, I had a car. This is not right in the city, and would be a reasonable walk. This will be my first choice...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in this Grand Old Lady. True to character with mod cons. We were extremely comfortable in our spacious room with large bathroom and a kitchenette. Zhu was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. He even offered to post back some items we left in our robe. Great location just a...

This venue looks pleasant on the internet and so we chose it as a self contained unit (family unit) . Our great disappointment was the heavily stained carpet in the living area that made the space unattractive rather than "cosy" . The carpet is very tired and stained. It would be worthwhile having tiles in this area as it is...

24/04/16. Stayed three nights in this Georgian house 500 metres from CBD. A heritage building, built 120 years ago and now converted to about 9 rooms, each with own bathroom. Friendly and efficient owner/manager. Very comfortable. Bathroom tiny, but worked. Bedroom large with high ceilings, many paintings and quiet with secure parking at rear. Good value for a short stay...

Lovely room, with a mini kitchen that had all you needed to make your stay comfortable. Bathroom was small but clean and tidy. Port and sherry laid on with a comfy sofa to enjoy it on. Very helpful person checked us in and helped with our bags. The street out the front is busy to try the car out of...
