I go to Mount Gambier a lot on business, and have only just discovered this place, more is the pity. I would have been enjoying this amazing place for years if only I knew. Patty simply cannot do enough for you. The breakfasts are huge and The rooms are warm, romantic and full of old school charm but without compromising...

My wife and I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon for a nights stay and there was no one in attendance. After a 20 minute treasure hunt I managed to find an envelope on the rear window sill with our room keys in it with a scribbled not saying call my mobile if you need anything. We were not informed prior...

Charming and old world. Patty Welcomed us with a pre-heated room on a cold & rainy afternoon. This B&B has so much to offer, you are not left wanting, help yourself to a fresh slice of cake, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Enjoy a good movie, a quiet read, or listen to some music in the elegant lounge or the privacy...

Colhurst House is a delightful old home, beautifully decorated with no two rooms alike. Nothing is too much trouble for host Patty and the breakfast home made granola is to die for! Lovely to have a sofa in our room to relax on. Thank you Patty for your kindness. The pantry room downstairs is easy to access and well supplied...

Patty is a generous and accommodating host and the property is lovely! We stayed in the tartan room which was beautifully spacious and exactly what we needed after a week in motel rooms. Great location and would highly recommend. Thanks Patty!!!

My wife and I have just had a really lovely stay here. After a long day's drive from Adelaide we arrived at dusk in the rain and were delighted to find not only a warm comfortable room but also tea, biscuits and cake to tuck into in the lounge. We had booked the Tartan Room which was very spacious, with...

We were only here for 1 night but we wanted something more than a motel room. Colhurst House didn't disappoint! Stunning home / B&B. Good choice of rooms, we stayed in the White room which was so spacious and had access to the first floor balcony. Everything you could want with beautiful touches everywhere from the downstairs pantry with tea,...

This is a lovely place to stay in Mount Gambier. Near to the attractions and restaurants but very quiet. We stayed in the tartan room which is large and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. It does need a chest of drawers and more wardrobe space as there is virtually nowhere to put anything and it is difficult to keep the...

This was an overnight stay only and a very pleasant alternative to the usual motel accommodation. Room and bathroom were huge, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I especially appreciated the fresh fruit, yoghurt and nuts, while my husband enjoyed the cooked breakfast. The room was beautifully restored and renovated. A pleasant stay!

Stayed in the "black room" which is at the top of the stairs. Nice room with great bathroom. Really comfy beds. Parking around the back of the property. 5 minute walk into the main part of town. reasonable prices and not that far from Coonawarra, which is where we couldn't find any accommodation!
