Stayed 1 night in a 2 bedroom apartment. A bit dated but spotlessly clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Umphertson sinkhole just down the road is well worth a visit. Take some apple pieces for the possums if you visit at night.

I was seeking a site for a single night only. I had no need for power however all of the sites at this venue are powered ensuite sites. I was immediately offered a nice discount. The place was quiet and comfortable. Located close to many of the towns attractions easy to find. I'll be heading back here again.

A simple caravan park, we were in a campervan and found this place to be ok for a one night stop. it's near a major highway , so can be a bit noisy. no other guest were around us,Had our own toilet and shower room next to our van, it was old, but clean, Staff were friendly and helpful. Position is near the sink hole. Just 5mins down the road we had a fun evening seeing the possums come out at dusk and kids loved running around in the hole. We did Adelaide-Robe-Mt Gambier- Port Campbell- Aireys Inlet-Geelong then Melbourne.

I stayed here at the Limestone Coast Tourist Park about a month and a half ago. I found it to be quite a nice place to stay at. It was REALLY peaceful which I appreciated a lot having come from the city. The place had a really nice atmosphere! Also the bed was comfy and everything in the room worked fine. There's no wifi in the room but I had my own anyway as do most people these days so it wasn't a problem. The service was really good too! Through my time staying there I met both the manager and one of his daughters and they were really friendly and helpful. The only real problem I had staying here was that there were a lot of ants in the room. I hate ants but it wasn't that much of an issue considering the location of the place, it's understandable. Investing in some bug…

Response from Allison B, Manager at Limestone Coast Tourist Park
Responded 17 Jan 2018
Most people realise that you can operate a TV without a remote, Christmas day is the only day of the year that we have off, to spend with family, that is why the office was not open all guests were told this before staying. I am not quite sure what you mean by local amenities, but all of our units have their own bathrooms, we only have one Public toilet as all of our sites are also ensuited, this is always clean, all be it a little dusty at times, the camp kitchen / games room is well stocked with crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils and is cleaned daily, Sorry the park is built on a hill. Kind regards Allison.

Manager (Male) at reception was very pleasant and informative of the local area and things to see and do (well done). Sadly from that point things went down hill. It appears all the Caravan Sites automatically inherit an En-suite, problem being it seems these en-suites have not be updated since around the 70's. The door to our "suite" kept sticking on the bottom which meant I had to say a silent prayer each time it was open that the bottom of the door would not come apart. The cleanliness of the suite leaves a lot to be desired as the curtain does not seem to get a proper clean as it was black on the bottom, the grout was various colours ranging from nearly white through to brown and finally black (old age or not clean!!!!), the external parts of the cistern hadn't been…

Hired a cabin for wife and two kids, $150 p/n. Cabin was clean but old, shower dripped, and could hear every single word of conversations in cabins either side - not soundproof at all! Very poor accommodation for the money, will be going elsewhere next time we're in Mt. Gambier.

In dire need of refurbishing. It felt and looked like this cabin (more like a tiny hotel) hadn't been upgraded since the 70's. It smelled dank. The telly was so small I had to be 2 feet from it to read the footy score, let alone watch the game. The 2 plastic lawn chairs provided as the only seating were less than comfortable. The comforter had human hairs on it - not mine... can only imagine how dirty the floor was, my bare feet felt like they were being bathed in grease. The only tiny sink provided to wash dishes and get drinking water was in the bathroom with the toilet...gross. I was flabbergasted at the tacky and aggresive notice in the room regarding doing your own dishes. The property is located on a very steep hill, not at all good for children wishing to play outside.…

We stayed here in January 2014 for 2 days. We never checked any reviews as we have stayed in many similar parks around SA and never had a problem with any of them. Sure, some are better than others but they all had the basics. This place was the most depressing, bleak, dirty and run down that I have ever experienced. Stayed with my wife and 2 kids. Just the look of the place from the road says it all. Don't take my word for it, look at it yourself before you stay. No need to book as they will always have rooms. We stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. Some facts : the place is very old and has clearly seen better days. Maintenance seems to be limited to essential services only. The bitumen is cracked and patchy everywhere. Everything looks well used and abused and just made…

We visited the Limestone caravan park over the Christmas period To our suprise it was empty which was most unusual for the xmas break. Even though all the pitches had ensuite it was quite expensive at $38 per night nothing much to do on the site.Kids not allowed to ride bikes Only 1 BBQ at $1.00 per 10 mins. This was situated not too far from the office Which was a hike if you had a cabin near the top of site No street lighting for night time This was one of the worst site I have visited

Children can ride their bikes but it is at their own risk as our park is built on a steep hill, if you are happy to take responseability for your childs safety, then they can ride their bikes in the park, all entertainment areas are at the front of the park, we have 2 Gas BBQ's for guests to use, sorry that you felt that our ensuite sites were not good value. Kind Regards Allison.
