Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin. There was ample space for the 5 of us and everything that we needed was provided. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice and quiet, and even though there was tents and kids behind us we couldn't hear them. I recommend this place, we have booked in again!

Thanks for the owner advise us that we left the make up box in our room. And he also gave us comprehensive travel tips in the town. Thank you. Highly recommended 非常好的住宿,老板很友善。他给了我们很多当地旅游的建议。我们走的时候把化妆包落下了,他打电话及时提醒了我们。推荐大家来这里住

Alison and the team have been huge supporters for the fight Cancer Foundation CureTOUR over a number of years. The facilities and accomadation are well kept, and we are always met with a smile and friendly service. The cabins are tidy and clean, and have everything needed and quite spacious.

Firstly, the staff are very friendly... both before arrival, and at checkin... The unit, for us was very reasonably sized, kitchen was suitably equipped, but it did look like it needed to be brought up to date... While clean, we did find 2 large dead moths... but generally presentation wasn't bad.. The unit also had no aircon unit, but this was not required on the day we stayed.. Electric fans were supplied however. I did find it a little disconcerting the bathroom window faces out next to the front door... and the toilet is directly in front of that window... meaning any unexpected visitors get a full view if occupied. all in all... accommodation is basic... but when keeping in mind this is basically a caravan park... it's not so bad

Thank you for your review, can see your point about bathroom, not an ideal place to put a window, lucky they are made of frosted glass. We are pleased that your accommodation was otherwise suitable to your needs. Kind regards, Allison.

This place is a bit different compared with other camping sites, if you in a caravan or a tent you can have your own toilet and hot shower next to you. It's worth it. The camp is set on the hill and it can be nice view. They have dog park separate so you can let your dug run around it. Hosting was nice too. They have fee WiFi which is a bit slow and you can only use it at reception area, not all over site. Movies & music are not allowed for downloading (time for an upgrade). The lady at reception she can sell you fresh eggs if you need it. My daughter loved a goat located near office. After all I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you guys for making my holiday nice.

$130 for a tiny, smelly room. Room was advertised as rooming 4- hardly enough space and that included a double, single bed and trundle on the floor. One pillow per person with no spare anything. Lots of rules including having to make own beds, strip beds, empty bins and wash own dishes (in a tub; the 'kitchen' bench had no sink and you had to transport hot water from the bathroom to the tub to wash. The water was also very slow to heat). Hot water tank is shared between two studio units, and once the hot water runs out, takes 30 mins to reheat. Glad we were only staying one night.

Response from Allison B, Manager at Limestone Coast Tourist Park
Responded 17 Jan 2018
Our studio units are our basic overnight stays, we do not advertise that they have a kitchen area, only that they have breakfast making facilities, I dont think that it is to much to ask that you wash your dishes after using them, we have no rules that say to make or strip your beds, this is the cleaners job, although we do ask for the bin to be emptied on departure. There are 2 spare pillows supplied with an extra doona in the wardrobe. There are no extra pillows for the single beds as these beds are not made up, they are supplied in the pack of linen if you have requested linen. All of our studio units have instantaneous gas hot water systems they do not have storage tanks that you have to share between units, they cannot run out of hot water. Most people are very happy with the size of our studio unit, If you wanted a bigger, more spacious unit for your overnight stay then maybe you should have chosen our 1 or 2 bedroom unit. Kind Regards, Allison.

The 2 bedroom unit was of a good size however could do with a up date and the place needs better sound proofing as well as fixing noisey plumping. On the up side it had all the necessary appliances for a longer stay. I didn't like the idea of paying for the bbq $1 for about 8 minutes it cost us about $5. Overall ok but much better can be found

I'd like to thank the host / manager for waiting for us until past 7:30. He was very accommodating and even showed us which places to visit in Mt.Gambier. The unit I got was big enough for all 4 of us - 3 bedrooms. The place comes with a kitchenette and essential cooking utensils. It is a quiet place as it is a fair bit away from the highway and about 3 kms out of town.

Travelling from Melbourne on the great ocean road we were looking for budget accommodation as all we needed was a bed. I would however need to reconsider my options if staying for longer as it was noted we needed to clean any utensil used.. No sink! Perhaps a small cutting board and sharp knife also need to be included. On the plus side management were friendly and informative and the rooms were clean and tidy.

Good clean park. Friendly staff. It appears that there are only ensuites for caravans which was excellent and it cost far less there than other parks offering less for your dollar. Also excellent park for dog owners, as we are. Big off lead yard and bags provided. Wish there were more parks like this.
