Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great spot. Yes it’s 40 a night but you have your own en-suite which some one has to clean. Was quiet and loved the off leash dog area. We passed another park and people were crammed in. It is a bit older but clean and tidy would highly recommend.

First off, every site has it's own ensuite, which is wonderful, with good supply of hot water. Park is lovely, high above the city with wonderful views, plenty of trees, gardens and birdlife. Now the downside, the ensuite are poorly conceived, with a lack of ventilation, and this causes water to hang from the ceiling and drip all day, towels were ringing wet at all times. Was not came to use hairdryer due to worry with the dampness and water on ceilings. The window if opened gave no privacy in the bathroom. The laundry was okay, washing machines were good, dryers were only fit for the dump. Sorry I wanted to give a better review as the staff were great, but this place needs major work on the ensuites.

Unsure how the star system works but this is not a four star place. The website shows great pictures but in reality it is a step back in time. The lady manager is a very nice person and did say the place had fallen down due to the previous staff. Our bed was disgusting, should have been sent to bed heaven months ago. There would have to be a lot of changes before we would stay there again.

The staff that were running the place were very lovely. However, some of our beds didn’t have linen. When I rang to ask it got directed to the owner who was out of reception, crackly line. She said the linen would be there soon. After waiting a while I went to collect it myself. Linen was clean though and beds comfortable. Excessive amount of rules and signs all over the apartment. Everything also came with an extra cost. Down to it stated the complimentary tea and coffee was only a arrival drink. Not to be consumed through the stay. TV did also did not work and the taps made a horrible rattling when turned on. It is a motel after all, and did it’s job. More of a one night stay type of place, only if everything els is booked out.

We spent 4 days at this park. We had an ensuite site which met all our needs. The camp kitchen is excellent and well equipped. I didn't use the laundry but it looked well set up. It rained quite a bit but the site was gravel so this meant we werent walking mud into the van, there was also grass about to sit outide on. This is one of the best value parks I have seen in my travels. The staff were also lovely. Thoroughly recommend it.

Hi Kerry, Thank you for staying with us and also for your wonderful feed back. It was unfortunate that the weather wasn't the kindest but am happy to hear that you were happy with your site and also the facilities. Hopefully the next time you come through town you will consider staying with us again and hopefully the weather will be a lot better so you will be able to get out and about more.

Tony & his lovely wife were both very friendly & helpful when we arrived. They are the new owners of the park who have only had it for 4 weeks. All caravan sites have an en-suite which is great & their clean & a good size. The sites are good & easy to get into. The grounds are terraced & there are plenty of van sites as well as a fabulous variety of Unit sizes. There's an off Dog leash area as well.Camp kitchen & bar-b-que area are both good.Close to town.

Selected park primarily on my pets needs - so great to have their own off leash area in the park & both dogs enjoyed running around & playing ball this morning Loving the rural setting, being from rural area myself, & everything I plan on seeing is just a short drive away Friendly, helpful staff, & the ensuite, & being genuinely pet friendly, make this an ideal park for anyone travelling to Mt Gsmbier with their pets

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that all the sites are ensuite sites! We had plenty of room for our Cub Camper, and three swags. The ensuite was clean and oh so handy when travelling with young children. The camp kitchen was large and well appointed, and the laundry also. Plenty of tourist information available at the office. We spent a day out exploring the area, and the next day hiding from the gale force winds that arrived. Either way. Mount Gambier has a lot to offer and we would gladly go back to see more! Thank you for your support!
