Detailed Reviews

Convenient booking and confirmation with Booking.com. Good location, room was comfortable, free WiFi and on-site parking. Enjoyed our stay overall, with just a couple of minor issues. Housekeeping staff knocked on door at 9.30am one morning, we asked for her to come back, there was a language barrier so we got clean towels that day, no other service. There was an overseas transaction fee on my credit card for payment. Pool is closed.

We stayed here overnight, the room was nice and the beds comfortable. The checkin staff were pleasant to deal with snd very helpful. The motel location was quiet and there is plenty of parking available. From the motel it is an easy walk to the town centre.

We understood this motel comes under the management of the Henty. The staff were friendly. Satisfied with the cleaning staff. The double bed was very comfortable but the single bed was well worn ( we had a twin share booking). It was good to have a microwave and toaster.

I was surprised that it was possible to get a hotel room anywhere in Australia for less than $100. The beds were relatively new as was the fridge, toaster, kettle, aircon, tv and blinds. Some cutlery and crockery was provided which was handy. Original bathroom but a good layout with ample counter space and good hot water. The room and bedding was clean. Only issue was probably the lack of a fan/ventilation in the bathroom, which meant some mould on the walls. Some of the furniture was old and worn, but still practical.

I have stayed in hostels in other countries and other Australian cities. This is the worst place I have ever stayed. It is supposed to be looked after by Henty Hotels next door but they are obviously not looking after this place they now own. We booked for two nights. The room we had was not cleaned properly, we had two very small towels and no bath towel on a slippery tiled wet bathroom floor. There was only one glass, and one plate and bowl for the two of us. The first night neither of us got any sleep because the bed was so bad with a huge dip in the middle so that we were both sleeping on a slope. The next day we asked for a change of room, which we got. In this room the aircon was not working. We froze for hours before there was any belief in what we were saying. The person at the reception said we could hop into bed because the bed had an electric blanket, this at 4 pm. Eventually we convinced them to give us a small fan heater (after three hours). To really clinch the lack of care and safety measures, I went out to get something out of my car. There is no outside lighting. There obviously used to be but it no longer works. I tripped over a concrete block I could not see and am now covered in bruises with two sprained wrists. Stay in this place at your peril.

We have stayed a few times now and can not fault anything. Room a great size and bed was excellent. Kitchenette with everything you need and even supplied with dishwashing detergent. Bathroom was very modern and very clean. Reception staff so friendly and helpful when I needed to reduce our stay from 6 nights to 5. Won't stay anywhere else when we head back to MG to see our family.

Some good points - location was good, it was clean, good amount of parking. But some bad points too. In desperate need of work and a freshen up. The double bed mattress was broken and super uncomfortable. Needing new blinds, and decor. There was not enough toilet paper
New owners have recently taken over so hopefully some works completed soon.

25/12/23 what a *******hole. The carpet was sticky so wore thongs everywhere. There was a pair of used socks under the bed.
There was genital hair outside the shower. The hot water was cold. The place is absolutely atrocious and I honestly walked out of the place feeling dirtier than I arrived after driving 6 hours. Pigs live better.

Very clean and well serviced. Comfortable beds and adequate room to move about. Great there was a microwave, jug, toaster and refrigerator. Only complaint was the shower rose where the water ran sparingly. Excellent price for 3 nights. We would recommend it. We had stayed there a few months ago and was happy with our stay.

Our hosts were very accommodating and contactable. Rooms very neat, tidy and clean. We stayed in a family room with 1 x Queen and 1 x Single. Heating, electric blankets provided, and great pub with cheap bar meals right around the corner by walking distance.

Hi Faye
Pets are allowed in rooms as long as they have their own bedding and do not get on the furniture
