Stayed in a retreat cabin. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Take your own food and drinks and cook on the Weber q. Park grounds are beautiful and lots for the kids to do. Close to all the hot spots. Will be back.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and we could not fault it. Better than a motel. Beds all made up (2 queen plus a set of bunks), very nicely furnished living area. Kids loved the jumping pillow and playground. Amazing location, with the lake within metres. Will definitely be back.

We have been travelling with our dog for a couple of weeks. Our first stop in Horsham we stayed in the Horsham Riverside Caravan Park where we were disappointed as the cabins amenities were poor and not functioning properly. The next caravan park we stayed at was The Marengo caravan park near Apollo Bay which rated 5 star with our pet, very clean all amenities working and very friendly. We then stayed at the Gumtree caravan park in Port Fairy once again 5 star with our pet. We have arrived in Mt. Gambier at the Blue Lake caravan park and we are once again back to below standard accommodation. Why advertise these lovely looking cabins on websites??? You go to book and they advise you cannot have that cabin you have to have the ones that allow dogs. We were booked for 2 nights but are only going to stay 1, bottom of cupboards are all chipped, bathroom door drags on floor, hand basin tap drips. Would not recommend you stay with your dog in the dog cabin, if travelling with your own caravan amenities are fine. Sad end to our holiday :(

The staff were helpful, their phone system was woeful, so be aware This caravan park is well located for the lakes and walking trails and that is about it. It is a fair walk into town and uphill all the way back, so not ideal for shopping if you have to carry it back. The sites were small, unlevel and damp. On the lower sites near the golf course there is no tv reception. The facilities needed to be updated and more attention paid to their cleaning. The dump point was very old and needs to be modernized.

Room Tip: If you want to stay, choose one of the sites uphill or the ensuite sites for a more level ground...

Very nice, quiet and well maintained park in a fantastic location - straight across the road from the beautiful Blue Lake. Checking in was easy and hassle free, the woman in the office was friendly and gave us all the info we needed. Check out super simple, just leave the key in the box at the boom gate on the way out. The only gripe I have is with the cabin itself, hence the average rating. It was clean and the double bed was nicely made up - a god send as it was freezing the night we stayed. It was a 3-berth cabin but barely big enough for myself and my partner. As it was, we had to sleep in separate beds because the double bed felt like it was about to fall through the floor of the cabin every time one of us moved. Also, every time one of us got up or walked the whole cabin shook like there was an earthquake, and we are not large people. Didn't make for an overly comfortable stay. Next time we will definitely book something bigger!
