The entrance and exterior to this venue was uninspiring. However, the Superior Queen Room was superb! It was in excellent condition, clean and well equipped. The kitchenette had a sink and all washing up gear was provided. There was a good stock of tea and coffee. The complimentary biscuits were a nice touch. The shower was great. There were lounge chairs as well as a counter area with bar stools for dining. There were shelves for 2 suitcases. The free Wifi connection was good. Paper and plastic recycling was encouraged. There was a covered BBQ and outdoor eating area. Parking was easy to access. Although situated on a busy road, we heard no traffic noise. A superior room, for sure!

We stayed one night on our way back home from Port Fairy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when the remote on the tv wouldn't work. Our room was clean and tidy. It looked to have been renovated recently as the bathroom didn't show signs of mould or wear/tear with regular use. The bed was comfortable. The outside of the buildings could use a different paint colour as it looks drab. Only negatives were that the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours and people outside and that the room is cramped so wouldn't want to stay there for multiple nights.

When I asked for extra pillows, I was told where they would be found. However, there was only one, but there was no-one in attendance at Reception, and I got no reply from the after-hours phone. There were no drawers or shelves for smaller clothing items. There was only one bedside table. The sofa was like sitting on marshmallow, my partner's bottom almost reached the floor. We had a 10-day booking, so a small set of drawers could have been put in the hanging space. Also, as a longer stay, it would have been good to get more than one set of towels at any time. The airconditioner was unreliable. The cleaners were helpful, though.

We booked a modern refurbished standard room on agoda.com and received a very old dated room... as you will see in pictures.. A would say avoid this hotel instead of becareful when booking... The walls are very thin can hear everything from the adjoining room including them going to bathroom. Road traffic & dogs barking in surrounding houses... and am not a light sleeper and windows shut.. When complained about room, they wantef more money or speak to booking company. Which we did, and agoda did nothing either. We would of booked a different hotel if we knew the site was false advertising the rooms at this hotel.

The lady on reception was fabulous and so helpful. Room was clean and tidy, had facilities to cook breakfast and we chose a cooked one which was delicious. Even though on main road we could not hear road noise. Would recommend this motel and we will stay here again.

Initially my heart sank as we drove in, but that didn't last long. Sure, the property is dated and the exterior could use work, but don't let looks deceive you. Our room, although small was lovely, nicely appointed and comfortable. Clearly someone is lavishing some love on this place. The woman who owns or manages the motel is great, happy to assist as or when needed. Our 2 night stay here was good and I'd recommend it to people travelling through.

Very old, tight and noisy. Curtains had moth holes in them, the bed was uncomfortable and did not have powerpoints conveniently located to charge phones. Receptionist was very friendly, but can‘t make up for overpriced low quality accommodation. Website photos are misleading.

Service Gary from reception is the owner and I have to say he is respectable, helpful and very eager to make your stay enjoyable.
Room Room is extremely clean, large, bed is comfortable, great pillows and good air con!
In room facilities Huge series 7 Sumsung LED hooked on a DVD player and YouTube through complimentary WIFI, DVDs are available at reception. Fridge, coffee & tea, milk etc are all available.
Bath Room Modern, clean, has blow dryer, water pressure is great and it gets very hot.
Location of Motel Very conveniently located just minutes walk from all the shops yet quiet enough to not be on the main road.
Conclusion Definitely will recommend to anyone that's coming to Mount Gambier, I travel heaps and this is the best Motel I've ever stayed at, it certainly embarrass some Hotels in South Australia.

Stayed overnight driving from Melbourne to Adelaide. Room was perfect and very tastefully renovated. The complimentary plunger coffee in the room was very much appreciated, as was the delicous, home cooked breakfast, brought to our room right on time. Hosts Caroline and Gary are very helpful with regard to local attractions and eateries. Would not hesitate to reccommend. Book direct with the motel!

I stayed here for a weekend in February and was extremely impressed. I was greeted by Caroline who was warm and knowledgable about the area. I had booked a standard room and found it to be impeccably clean from top to bottom. Upon my request, I was shown around the recently renovated rooms the next morning and will definitely be trying those out next time I'm in town. Thanks for a lovely stay, highly recommended.
