Beautiful view. We stayed in room 20 which was spacious with a lovely view. Big tv air con huge bed and curtains that actually function well to block out the light.
As mentioned in other reviews, bathroom was dated and the 1 small bottle of complimentary water between 2 people is skimpy. But better than none. The room has everything you need and is adequate without being luxurious. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful and friendly.
However were disturbed by external noise through the night.

A great location, quiet away from any highway and local traffic. Very upmarket restaurant on site. Motel has been partially updated and the units we had were very spacious, been given king beds and new carpets painted, big TV with Foxtel, dining table chairs, and split system aircon. Bathroom area still needs a full refit, but was clean and had a spa bath, sep shower and toilet. A spacious wet area with double sinks and microwave , dishes, cutlery all provided. Parking at the door. Funniest bit for me was it had an old wall phone in the loo! Couldn’t figure that one out! Very friendly lady on the desk. Has a world of potential to be a top class motel in that location.

Although this place has varying reviews and has a few quirks, it's a solid 4 stars in any book. The location is pretty hard to beat perched high on the side of the crater overlooking the town. It's a short stroll to the amazing Blue Lake and the views are breathtaking all round. Sure, not every room has a view, but you don't have to try hard to find the view. Our room had comfy beds and was very spacious. Some aspects were a bit dated and maybe the place could be better maintained, but overall the price was fair for what it is. Service was friendly and excellent. Wishing we were back there already!

Quiet no truck noise. Nice view. Comfortable bed and pillows. Cheaper if you agree to sign up to the free choice hotels program. Just about every hotel in my Gambier are on a busy main and they are not soundproofed Older style rooms with a view . Owner manager is usually around. Long reception hours.

The motel is ideally located overlooking the city affording wonderful views. The room services are adequate for a budget motel. We were fortunate the motel was not busy so not bothered by noise of other guests. Good for an overnight stay if travelling through to Victoria.

A splash of paint and a king sized bed has done nothing to warrant the price of these rooms. Original shower and box aircon which rattled. Small TV and very old cabinetry. Stained carpet and what looks like original light fittings

Very over priced. I let reception know of problems in the room within minutes of entering. They couldn't care less. Toilet and shower had not been cleaned properly, there was mould on the tiles in shower. TV didn't work, there was a large iron scorch mark on the carpet. Coat hangers in wardrobe were broken. Bed cover was worn and dirty. I will say that the view was great and there was a small complimentary bottle of water, 2 guests, surely 2 bottles, but now I'm nit picking. I certainly would not recommend this place.

The dirtiest motel I have ever stayed in The motel was so filthy years of accumulated dust and dirt that I couldn’t dare to use the tv as the dust was a fire hazard The beds were never made only covered with the top sheets Flooding in my bathroom Unfortunately my stay was not what I expected from this top place I will never stay there again

The motel did not live up to the description at all. The room was TINY !, the bathroom was not clean, tiles needed a good scrub & floor needed washing. Very claustrophobic with 2 people trying to move around. Certainly give this one a miss.

We stayed overnight. The place is situated on the highest area of Mt. Gambier so we were overlooking the entire town from our room. It was beautiful especially at night.
Reception was friendly. Room is a bit dated but the view mire than makes up for it. Pool and Spa probably just need a little bit of updating, but we had fun cooling down for a good hour there.
