Booked for few days near good coastal setting. Motel is a good price for where it is. For: price and size of room. Looks well maintained and like have kept the upkeep on even though but old. Room size is great for price. Both rooms look like been redone not long ago. Against: something I see way too often in too many motels with split system AC is dust on the filters. This is a health risk and really bad for people with allergies. They did clean straight away but it did look like had not been done in a while. Staff where friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place just check the AC filters but I would do that anywhere.

Had a very pleasant stay here. It is an older style single level motel with an old decor but was clean and comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Parking outside the door in a secured complex. I also liked how quiet the room.

Glenelg Motel Arriving in Adelaide for our first visit to Australia, we had our first four days booked at the Glenelg Motel. First impressions count a lot, and the Motel Manager Kylie had already scored highly by arranging late access to our room as our flight would not arrive until around 9pm. “Just knock on the window if you have any problems – I live on the premises!” We didn’t need to, but the friendly greeting was typical of the Aussies we met from Day One. We found a large, comfortable room, instructions for the air conditioning, and a kettle to make a cuppa. One slight niggle – a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge would have been more appreciated after a long journey. But our experience the next morning at breakfast was right on the money – friendly faces, chatty guests who’d already been made happy, and good home-cooked food set us up for our first day. We felt welcome, and were given the best of impressions of what Australia had to offer. This was intended to be the trip of a lifetime, but our unique experiences have led us to believe we will be making another in future. And the Glenelg Motel will again be our first choice to stop and rest.
