The best feature of this hotel is the location: walk to the beach, cafes, restaurants, shopping, the pier, and the tram to the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. Yes, there are stairs, but this is made clear on the website. The room had tea/coffee making facilities, as well as a toaster, microwave and bar fridge. The room was a good size, with a comfy couch and a decent-sized wardrobe. The bathroom was quite small and dated. I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic location. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to the beach. Walking distance to the wharf and tram. As I have said position perfect. Accommodation average. Rooms acceptable. Bathrooms needs revamping. Attention by cleaning staff is hit and miss. Rooms have the usual kettle, toaster, tea and coffee. But once you use the cup and saucer, the cleaning staff would take them and not replace them. On three occasions I had to ask receptionist. To be told sorry we are short staffed. One the forth morning I had enough, went to Kmart and purchased my own. Facility has coin operated washers and dryer’s.Fantastic. The car parking is limited. First in best dressed. We had a wonderful time in Glenelg, but unfortunately chose the wrong accommodation for us.

Hi Helen T, We're delighted you enjoyed our great location but are disappointed our room service wasn't up to our usual level. We apologise for the repeat shortage of cup and saucer and have taken steps to ensure this is not a a re-occurrence. Please give us another try when you're next in Glenelg. Call me direct and we'll give you a great rate, Cheers Rob

Very good, seemingly recently renovated rooms. Very clean and well appointed. Microwave, small fridge, plates, mugs, glasses, one teaspoon and knife provided. Reception staff pleasant and friendly. My room wasn’t in a great location - by the stairs and overlooking a carpark. As a result a bit noisy.

Although staff at reception were friendly and helpful, management need to allocate more resources to cleaning (as I’m sure the limited staff do what they can with the time they are allocated to clean each room). The state of my room was disappointing to say the least. Rubbish was left from the previous occupier in the bathroom cupboard and with the tea/coffee supplies. The floor looked like it had not been vacuumed. The thick layer of dust along the top of the bed head was unbelievable. It was warm in the room but the ceiling fan was filthy and therefore I didn’t want to use it. Thankfully the toilet, shower and bedsheets were clean but I honestly thought about leaving within 5 minutes of my arrival! The small on-site parking is handy, but it’s tricky to manoeuvre into and only available if you’re in early. The website photo of the executive room suggests it overlooks the park. Sadly, a view of the car park was for us, but the good thing about this was that it reduced the noise from the street. I will not stay at Ensenada again. I will avoid Glenelg as well - too noisy (late night bars), too busy, and quite grubby overall.

If you have any mobility issues whatsoever, a bad back, large or heavy luggage this is not the place for you. Sharp steep steps to reception, also to your room, also to the carpark. My room faced the building next door but I was grateful for that as the amount of hoon traffic on that street at night is loud. Thank goodness for double glazed windows although the glass was filthy. The room itself was quite good with the exception of the very worn out split system heating - I simply froze the first night and reception has closed early, slept with multiple layers of clothes on and seriously considered moving somewhere else. Asked the cleaners the next morning for more blankets. Room climate was in very stark contrast to the Reception area which was extremely well heated. Yes this is in a great position - One of the best in Glenelg but it seriously has really bad access, reduced reception hours, and heating needs replacing.

We stayed 5 nights a day from Tues to Sun. We were here for a work trip and picked this hotel because of the free parking. Boy, we were very happy with our choice. The location is very very good. Near to beach, ferries wheel and all the restaurants. It's also near outlet mall. Luckily we did not stay in the city. We arrived late nearly 11pm. The staff, a gentleman was very kind to stay behind and waited for us for late check in. He also helped me with my luggage. Luckily we had 2 rooms facing inside (the carpark). If you have street views, you might be awaken by the buses in the mornings. To get in at night, you have to tab your key token at the side entry (at the carpark). 1 thing to note, the toilet would get very cold during the cooler weather due to the ventilation when you turn on the light. Another thing to know, I did not opt for housekeeping services. But the housekeeper still left new towels at my room every night. Hope the hotel will be more eco-green in future.

Great location in Glenelg. Walking distance to beach, shops and many places to eat. Rooms are small but have all that you need. Old fashioned quality service from all staff at all times. On site breakfast is available as well as onsite parking

We have stayed here twice in the past twelve months (happened to be in the exact same room both times) & it never fails to impress! We stayed in the deluxe double room which is very basic, but lovely. For the amount of time you spend in the room, it has everything you need (except cutlery & a bottle opener - but reception staff were happy to help with these things when needed). The location is the absolute best thing about this place! It is just metres from Jetty Road, The Beachouse & the beach. Top spot!! Staff are lovely & helpful. Will definitely stay again - the location for the price is just too good to stay somewhere else!

The room was quite small and overlooked the car park. No park view here. Steep stairs for access (this is on their website). We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Not sure they are all expert in hospitality management as we had to ask for a few things that were missing from the room, like basic cutlery and wine glasses. As a base for Adelaide it's good with the tram, and the shopping strip will give you an hour's entertainment. Plenty of restaurants and cafes too, many of which are very good. We encountered a cyclonic storm while we were there and the staff did not seem to know how to handle the flying tree branches, 100kph winds and rain.

Great couple of nights away. Clean and well presented. Staff showed me to the room and ran through things, generally unheard of in Australia now, fantastic touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for those wanting to explore Glenelg or catch a tram, with everything within a 5 minute walk. Room had double glazed windows. Only downloaded was I was right next to the after hours entrance and opposite the staff entrance to their reception, quite noisy for someone not used to it. Staff did apologise and advised to request not to be in that room next time. Will definitely return. Would be handy and quite affordable to get to city/showgrounds as well being a stone's throw away from tram.
