Detailed Reviews
Travelling through Toowoomba with two small dogs so only stayed one night. Stayed in Pet Friendly room no. 25. The room and bathroom are both spacious compared to most but are both in serious need of renovation. The shower is gross and mouldy, and there was an old toothbrush left in the shower. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the tapware needs replacing. The light in the bathroom didn't work nor did the light in the entry. This room adjoins the other pet friendly room by an internal door and you could clearly hear the TV, people and dog next door - frustrating when you just want a quiet rest before another long drive. Travelling with pets can be challenging and this motel was convenient however definately not worth the $160 we were charged.

Good location opposite the visitors centre. Travelling with a dog we had one of the pet friendly rooms which was clean & very spacious with one Queen & two single beds plus a small table & chairs & 2 seater lounge. Bed was very comfortable. Parking outside our room was handy. Having a good restaurant on site was also an added bonus. Walking distance to the Federal Hotel & Dan Murphy’s
Free wifi & air conditioner worked well.

My partner and I have been travelling back and forth to Toowoomba due to a new job and we stumbled across this excellent motel that could also accomodate our little dog. If we hadn't found James Street Motor Inn we may not have been able to take the job. The motel is everything we need and Chuqun and her staff have been the most adorable, kind and helpful people I've ever met. The rooms are big, clean and the beds are comfortable. Chuqun has been able to accomodate our hectic schedule and there never seems to be nothing she can do for us. Oh and having the restaurent onsite the chef needs a payrise............amazing food and the alcohol selection is great too,

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here (Sat/Sun) on our road trip north. From making the booking on-line to checking out, everything was great. Chuqun emailed the receipt, a welcoming email before arrival and another after our stay. She was friendly and very helpful when we were given the keys to room number 17, a standard queen room. It was an older style which obviously had had some renovation. It was very clean and quite big with a 2 seater lounge and 2 separate tables with chairs. These were very handy as we were self-catering. It also had a wardrobe and drawers, bedside tables and a lamp. The bed and pillows were comfortable and it was quiet during the night. Parking available right at the front door.
The bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and vanity was huge for a motel room. It took up the whole width of the back of the room. The only negative being the shower recess, which was an angular shape and very small. There was plenty of room outside it..!!
I'm not sure what the other rooms were like, but room 17 would be great for anyone wanting an extended stay in Toowoomba.
Thanks Chuqun for your hospitality and making our stay a pleasant one.

Staff/owners were very friendly on check-in. I arrived earlier than expected & was given a room without any problems. Milk was offered for tea & coffee as well. There was also cold water in the fridge
Room was very large, with a small dining table & chairs, bed & couch. Bathroom was also very large. Bathroom also included a bathtub. Although room is a little dated inn appearance & could use a refresh. However, it was clean.
Facilities had a swimming pool & a restaurant. We didn't use either, but they had plenty of patronage by other customers.
Parking wasn't a problem, however if someone is parking behind you in another space, you just need to be careful when reversing.
Definitely need aircon on during stay to keep cool.

Large room, good table & chairs to have meals at. Very comfortable beds & sofas are good size & great to relax on.
Host is lovely & very helpful & accommodating with things we need.
Even though it is on a main road, the rooms are well insulated, so the noise isn't noticed.

Quite unexpectedly, we found ourselves in Toowoomba after March 2021 floods cause a complete change to our travel plans. By the time we drove from St George to Toowoomba the local Information Centre had just closed, but they had helpfully left a lot of brochures and a list of hotel/motel recommendations, including one directly across the road. We enquired of them if they had a restaurant on site, but they didn't. However, they so very helpfully (and greatly appreciated) suggested the abutting property which did. That's how we came to this Motel, and we were so glad we did. We were given a family room (queen bed, two singles) and it had one of the longest shelves I've ever seen. So handy to rest your tired suitcase on! The manager couldn't have been more helpful and ready to assist with local knowledge although she'd been in Toowoomba only three years. Our room was ultra quiet, with all the facilities and amenities one expects, and with a thoroughly modernised bathroom. Best of all, downlights above the beds that really helped with reading TV guides! We ate at the restaurant on two successive nights and enjoyed the meals hugely. Great value and high quality: we'll gladly return!

The motel was pet friendly for our Great Dane and English Cocker Spaniel there was no fuss. The room was huge and very clean. Even though it’s on a corner of a busy road there was no noise. The office staff was helpful and very friendly. Could not fault this motel I would recommend to anyone travelling with or without pets.

Thank you for a wonderful stay for our family of 4 and our well behaved dogs. The room was so spacious and clean and wonderful to have our fur children join us and a swim after a long day of driving. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone with pets and family all staying in one room. Such beautiful friendly management and staff!

We stayed at this motel in May 2021,and we’re very happy with our accommodation.our room was very spacious and was equipped very well.
Our hostess was very welcoming, and she cooked us a beautiful dinner in the motel restaurant,as they have trouble getting good chefs.Would definitely recommend this motel.
