Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for one night recently to attend a friends birthday celebration, that was held nearby.
I booked last minute, and this was literally the last room left in Toowoomba.
It suited us fine for the night. It is not fancy, new or modern. But for the price, we got exactly what we were expecting...
... Clean room, with a comfortable bed, and it was quiet. Staff were friendly too. Overall very happy with our stay.

The Sports Bar is spacious with a number of screens and two pool tables, but the service is extremely slow, not because of the poor bar staff but because there aren’t any enough of them. Generally one staff member to serve 80 patrons including meals. Locals tell me it’s par for the course but it is obvious this pub is owned by one of the big supermarket chains because getting a drink can take forever, and if the keg needs changing the absenteeism can last for ages. The duty manager shows his face occasionally to wash a few glasses, but if you are going to drink here please bring your patience with you.

I booked this place as it was close to the friends I was visiting and had the shopping centre and pub next door. I'm pleased I didn't pick it for its decor or ambience. It is very ordinary and we'll overdue for a makeover. There are approximately 12 rooms in total, all on ground level with parking right outside your front door. I don't believe the bathrooms have been touched since the pace was built in the 1970s. The room I had was very basic, with two queen beds, a wall mounted TV with free to air channels as Foxtel (sports) a bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities. There is a long bench under the TV, but no table at which to eat a meal. There was a very noisy old fashioned air conditioner (the window mount kind) which kept me awake most of the night, but I had to have it on as the temperature was so cold outside (It dropped to 2 degrees that night). There is nowhere to get breakfast on site and no room service breakfast either. You need to walk around to McDonalds or Subway to get something. I paid $99 for the night and feel it was overpriced at that for what you get. I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

We arrived for a counter lunch and Keely went above and beyond our expectations to meet our dietary requirements. The lambs brains were delicious and the steak sandwich was fine. The Caesar salad had a dressing that was more fishy tasting than usual but the hotel kindly replaced it with an aioli dressing. Best service we have had in years. Thank you Keely for your kind attentive service.

My partner & I have stayed here a few times when we are in town visiting family. VERY HAPPY with our stay this time, the staff were very helpful, rooms are so reasonable, clean & tidy. During our stay, we enjoyed dinner at the hotel, would be happy to eat there anytime, food was wonderful. Is our go to place to stay in town. :)

Comfy bed, very convenient location and well priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my dinner at the restaurant. It is an older style motel but clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Will return.

I stayed here with my husband and children. I wanted a clean and safe room which was functional. When booking via the phone the staff were very friendly.

Upon arrival after a 5 hour drive we were locked out of the room as the door lock was broken. Stranded out in the cold we had to wait half our in the car for someone to fix it. Then we went to fill in the 'included breakfast' form and were told they hadnt updated their listing and now it was as priced so "tricked you".

We went to have our shower and the hot water system was broken.. upon second look someone had stolen in from the room as pictured.

The smoke alarm did not work and we had to replace the batteries.

The shower had chipped and dangerous tiles not child friendly in anyway either.

The fan switch was missing so the fan couldnt be used to circulate the heaters air. The heater was an old old window rattler installed with a piece of cardboard.

The paint was peeling off the wall in huge pieces in several spots as pictured.

It is a very "tired" hotel than needs a lot of renovation. I would not advise staying here. On top of it all there are lots of tradies that stay here who runntheir trucks and utes at 4 and 5am so if you want to sleep beyond that time or have a baby... good luck.

I am so disgusted.
