Detailed Reviews
The rooms were very modern and fresh, very close to all grand central shopping and restaurants etc. parking was easy some undercover some in open. Had a lovely private balcony as well. Aircon worked great snd there were no weird noises or lights to keep me awake ! Reception was closed but we had very clear communication on how to check in after hours. Will definitely be back!

Our “go to” place to stay in TOOWOOMBA! A lovely ambience-It feels like a home away from home. There we’re even books for children in their library
.The staff are always very professional, friendly and accommodating. The beds and pillows are sooooooo comfortable and the rooms are always spotless. The rooms for accessible access are excellent and spacious.

Repeat visitors to Potters and would not consider looking further for accommodation in Toowoomba.
Everything to like, very friendly, helpful reception staff, great rooms and, of significant importance to me, sound proofing!
Furthermore, soundproofing that is actually soundproof.
Location is great, literally overlooks the largest shopping centre in Toowoomba however traffic congestion is non existent and parking is plentiful.
The rooms are well proportioned, beds are really comfortable and the shower is walk - in i.e. not over a bath.
I love Potters.

Reception here is great. We arrived into Toowoomba and caught up with family before checking in. I didn't realise reception closed at 7pm. I received a call asking whta time I was expected and the receptionist explained that as the office closed at 7pm she would organise for our keys to be left in the night safe. That was really great customer service and we appreciated it.
Potters, from the website, looks rather up market, but for us the room was dark and cramped.
The bed was super comfortable (better than our bed at home) but the pillows were huge and lumpy.
The nice thing about the room was that it had a sliding door that opened to a rather unwelcoming outside area. It was nice to be able to get cool, fresh air into the room though.
At night the room was really dark and quiet despite having the sliding door and curtains open (there is a fly wire screen door too). We hadn't factored in that the hotel is right beside a child care centre, that during the week (and to a lesser extent Saturday morning) is quite noisy due to the playing children. This noise starts at around 7.30pm and gets louder and louder until around 9am when the children must go inside to play. It's a happy sound but maybe annoying if you wanted to sleep in. Mind you, if we had had the sliding door shut, most of that noise would be blocked.
You can get breakfast here, which I have heard good reports about, but the service finishes at 9.30am so look sharp!
This is an okay place to stay, but with no real character. We stayed in a "deluxe king room". It wasn't especially deluxe but the bed was a king sized one. I liked how quiet and dark the rooms were at night time, but I will probably look elsewhere for our next stay.

Hi FarflungEddie, Thank you for your honest and detailed review. We really do appreciate it. We love the fact you appreciated all aspects of your stay. The Great and not so. We hope that the next time in Toowoomba that you would like to stay with us again and request our Executive King room with a balcony. Our executive king rooms are larger, most are on the eastern side of the building (away from the day care centre). Hope to see you again soon. Kindest regards,

We visit Toowoomba regularly and thought we'd try Potters since it was "boutique" though we had previously stayed at several simple but super clean motels with good beds, air con etc.
We paid about $189 for a downstairs, very dark motel sized room. Even with curtains open on bright sunny day, little light gets in.
Yes, it had a modern fitout and was clean. However it failed big time by having airconditioning that wasnt able to be turned below 24degrees before it shut off automatically...Also the bed was overdue for replacement...loose springs and little support - resulting in a shocking nights sleep for both of us before a long road trip the next day.
Small things, but annoying: Found it unusual that there were about 10 tissues left in the box provided and no replacement box of tissues..super stingy when paying this price. Also, no desk/reception service before 9am...so couldnt get more tissues or ask for a panadol due to shocking nights sleep.
We were going to have breakfast there on the Sunday morning, but figured if their approach and service was this 'mean' in the room,s then, the food wasnt going to be great.

Spent 2 nights at Potters Toowoomba early August for a school reunion, there were a number of us staying.
The accommodation side of the business was brilliant and very helpful, couldn’t ask for more.
The restaurant was a whole different scenario I would go as far to say that the manager would have put Basil Fawlty to shame.
Had been to an early evening function and arrived back at the restaurant/ bar to have a few drinks with old school mates in a quite relaxed atmosphere, only for the manager to shut the bar at 8.30 so he could set up for breakfast, needless to say we went down town and spent our money elsewhere.
Saturday morning 8.30 am breakfast, we all finished breakfast and looking for another coffee and catchup, he did it again, Ridley asked us all to leave and closed the restaurant so he could clean up, This bloke is a fair dinkum drongo, wouldn’t know an opportunity if it slapped him in the face.
Be aware there is no breakfast served Sunday Morning.
Great Motel, dreadful restaurant manager

We booked a one night stay at Potter's Boutique Hotel for the Toowoomba Flower show and we weren't disappointed.
Well maintained clean rooms (we had an Executive Room) coffee machine, comfortable bed and nice soft pillows.
Located close to the CBD and walking distance to the beautiful parks.
Bonus of an excellent restaurant on site as well. We had a delicious dinner with cocktails as well 🙂
The staff are all very friendly, extremely approachable and very helpful.
Thank you for a much enjoyed stay. We will be back again and this time for more than one night.

Ok so the rate pn is a bit exie considering one we usually stay in was way cheaper, but we wanted to try something different.
Lovely receptionist very friendly, unfortunately I did not get her name.
Our room 109, was a King & looked out on the beautiful Jasmine laden fence where there was a small area with a table & 2 chairs. Had a secure screen & sliding door opening which is great when wanting fresh air.
Others did not have the same outlook & were very large rooms whose windows faced the car park.
This is a 2 story building with no elevator.
Plenty of parking
There is a convenient small restaurant & bar onsite.

We went there for the long weekend and we didn’t have a good experience.
We didn’t have our room cleaned on Sunday, the bathroom was stinky, our room downstairs was very dark even with the curtains open. And the worse thing was: we went to have breakfast in the morning and we had
an hour waiting. After 45 minutes waiting the waitress came to say they didn’t have avocados, so we had to change the order and we had to wait another 30 minutes for our breakfast which we ended up having breakfast takeaway.
On top that the barista wasn’t very polite when we informed we had to leave the restaurant. He was really mean. And we didn’t receive a ‘sorry’ from him.
We don’t recommend this hotel at all.

Thank you for being our guest, and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Unfortunately we haven't exceeded your expectations during your stay, as this is our main goal for each and every guest. Thank you for letting us know about the inconveniences you experienced, we can assure you this was not an ordinary breakfast service in the Restaurant. We hope we get the chance of hosting you again and show you what we are really capable of.

Very clean place restaurant was great , good sizes and very tasty. Room size ok for this type of accommodation, only improvement would be shower pressure not great.
Staff happy to help. One more improvement would be longer opening hours for breakfast 6 to 9 am not good enough in this day and age.

Hi hun , I don’t work there
Hi Kathryn, it certainly will be. At this stage the hotel is open for accommodation bookings and our bar is open for beverages (morning coffees and after-work drinks), however we are still finalising our menu currently so we are not yet open for meals. We hold our official opening on the 23rd of February and hope to have the restaurant fully operational before then. Thank you.
