After staying at very average accommodation elsewhere in Mount Isa it was very pleasing to move to Ibis Styles Mount Isa. Though it needs a paint job on the outside, inside was inviting, clean and cool. Room very nicely presented and comfortable. A little pricey for an Ibis Style elsewhere but we still felt it was worth it.

We arrived into Ibis Styles Hotel early evening, we received a good welcome at check-in. We were soon given a key card for the standard room that we booked. We also asked for a taxi to be booked for the following morning which was kindly arranged for us.
The room was spacious but worn around the edges but had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The TV had a good range of channels, tea and coffee facilities were provided. The aircon worked well and there was no noise from outside. The bathroom was good with a small bathtub and powerful shower, wall mounted soap dispensers were provided.
We left early the following morning so we didn't have the chance to have breakfast unfortunately. It was a good stay at the hotel, the price of the room was quite high however the room was spacious for the money paid. The staff were friendly and approachable, we would stay there if we visited Mount Isa again.

A very pleasant 4 night stay over Easter. The room and bathroom were both very clean and quite spacious. The bed is nice and comfortable. The WiFi is excellent. Plenty of powerpoints for charging and convenient switches for the room lights next to the bed. Fantastic central location in the heart of the city centre, only 10 minutes walk to Outback in Isa. Buffs Club, Mt Isa Hotel/Red Earth are across the road. Nice pool. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. Fridge, tea and coffee, iron, hair dryer in room. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed over the whole of Easter, but there are plenty of other options around. A bit more expensive than most other hotels in town, but overall this has been an good, comfortable stay.

We’ve stayed at other Ibis hotels throughout Australia and found them to be excellent. Not so for this one. When we drove past the building we thought there might be another Ibis. The building is filthy and very tun rundown looking.
The lady on reception was very friendly and gave us each a bottle of cold water on arrival which was appreciated as it’s very hot here.
The room. Outdated comes to mind. The bed is big but uncomfortable, my husband said his side dips and woke up grumpy and with a sore back.
Shower was interesting, the water pressure in our room was poor, nothing worse than a awful shower in the morning. Don’t bother with the hot water taps, turn on the cold tap and even after a few mins it’s still very warm water.
There is a pool but it’s out in the open without any overhead protection. The entry we found for the pool was a door with about 30 steep stairs leading down to the pool.
Their restaurant was closed due to renovations so I can’t comment on the food.
Warning about parking. It’s at the side of the building not undercover and not secured. Apparently there are security cameras but this didn’t ease our minds.
Overall, for the price that you would pay for a good hotel room in a major city this does not rate well at all.

Had a corner room (#350), very spacious & clean. Room was serviced daily, and we were very happy with the room service dinner that we ordered. NW Qld experienced a 6+ hours of blackout and luckily our room which overlooked the mine and 2 sliding doors, so no problems keeping cool. (Whilst the hotel itself does not have a back up generator, they do have battery back up for the door locks.) Hotel staff approachable / friendly, and patient with all of our tourist queries. Easy walking distance into the centre of town. ~15 minute walk to the Tourist Information Centre, Riversleigh Fossil Centre & Underground Mine. Didn't try the restaurant on site as we hadn't booked, but did try the pool.

I booked my room directly with the Hotel by phone. I am an Accor Plus member and use my membership weekly and seldom stay at any other hotel groups. I like the membership benefits such as meal discounts. Only when I arrived at the hotel to check-in was I advised that the restaurant was shut for renovations. This is really annoying as it is a big part of the reason for choosing Accor Hotels.

Travelling the wonders of Queensland Outback. Or lucky to call it home and just want a night away. Then Ibis Mount Isa is definitely what your looking for.
If your travelling there is lots of parking available, including for the Caravan.
For work, Couples & The Family suitable for everyone just not the pets. (Furry Friends Pet Stay) has you covered if travelling with pets.
Room service available and definitely much better then what you would expect. Giuseppe’s Cantina Restaurant is located on the ground floor and offers room service.
My personal experience was fantastic from the friendly welcoming right till the checking out. We dined at the restaurant, but also ordered in room service witch was very quick again service always with a smile and felt very welcomed. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting or looking for a night out.
Mount Isa is a beautiful town in the heat of Outback Queensland it’s one that everybody needs to visit and explore but you now know where to stay.

Disappointed with the room. There was a strong smell of mustiness or mould in the bedroom. The shower had black on the lower tile grout and needed a good scrub. The bedside lamps were more like ornaments as they were not attached to a power outlet and there were neither power points or usb outlets on the bed side of the room. The only shampoo or soap available was in the shower as the pump style container near the wash basin was empty. Between the smell and the lack of light near the bed our stay was not comfortable.

My association with the Ibis Styles Mt Isa goes back to the mid 1980's where I have stayed on many occasions. At that time the Motel was owned by an Italian family where I was always greeted as one of the family. I am very pleased to say that this family atmosphere still exists at the Motel. Right from the time of my arrival right through to departure I felt very comfortable and welcome. The staff very exceptional who handled requirements associated with the current Covid19 pandemic very effectively. So, I will always return to the Ibis Styles Mt Isa whenever next in Mount Isa

We stayed here for 3 nights for work and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They went out they way for us. The rooms are good sizes and bathroom roof is a little low. Glad I am not that tall lol just need a fan in bathroom. Self service Laundry is a great price as well Great spot in the city walking distance to everything. Room prices are good. Highly recommend staying here.
