Family owned and operated, Burke and Wills is a great place to stay in the heart of Mount Isa within walking distance to Mount Isa Village shopping complex, restaurants and bars. Colonial cottage like rooms are quite comfortable, spacious, clean and well presented. There is a restaurant on site for convenience however I recommend you pop next door to Buffs... More

My husband and I stayed here with my father in law at the family suite. It was an average stay. I just recommend that the cleaner should clean more since we found hair falls on our pillows and in the shower. Plus the wifi isn't working at all.

Stayed here recently for first time. Room was of a good standard and restaurant was good for dinner, but a bit ordinary for breakfast. I will happily be back here in the future. Parking around room 11 was pretty tight but you can park anywhere.

I stayed at this motel in room 31 for a total of 3 nights but ended up staying only 2 . I may have just been unlucky but the double bed had an old innerspring mattress and you could feel the springs digging into you when lying down, one of the most horrible beds I've ever slept on . Staff... More

Room was comfortable but average, next to a busy highway and stop signs with large trucks at all hours and across the road from a pub = no sleep. Friendly helpful check in and out. Definately no eating in room, one fork, no knife or plates etc.

The room I had was spacious and comfortable. It appears it had been recently renovated and was very fresh. The staff were friendly whenever questions were raised. I stayed on a weekend and had a continental breakfast which was very nice and plentiful. Some of the rooms have an external that is studio styled for a movie. The car park... More

I am in the Isa region regularly; I have narrowed my accommodation down to the Burke and Wills. It is nice and central so you can choose a different meal each night you are in town. Rooms are tidy and work vehicle is parked right outside your door. Good A/C, fridge and TV in the rooms. Back gate stays locked... More

Travelled for work to Mt Isa. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was closed for renovation but "the Buffs" next door charges back to the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. There was even a stocked mini bar - quite rare these days. Would recommend but ask for a room not on the main road.

First time to Mount Isa for work and I stayed 2 nights. Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile by Runi who had me sign paperwork, gave me a quick overview of the place and sent me on my way. Her hospitality is something that needs to be recognised, so thank you Runi. There was also free wifi which... More
