What a great find , we rang the hotel direct and spoke to David really top guy. The rooms are spotless there is not one thing we could fault. A spacious room with car spot start out the front which makes car trips so much easier to get things out. Shops are like a 2 minute walk with a few restaurants nearby. The hotel has a restaurant but wasn’t open the day we were there but had heard by locals it is great. There’s a nice pool with a seating area, Perfect hotel to stay on route to Heron.

Our Housekeeper and her staff are determined to insure each and every room is spotless and presents at their very best to our valued guests. Yes, and there are 6 eateries within 150 metres of the motel - each and every one gets great reviews from our guests who visit them. The Heron Island ferry is only a short 5 minutes drive or a leisurely 15 minute stroll from the motel. Until we see you again, be safe, be happy, smile and travel well.

Third motel we've tried in Gladstone and finally found a good one. Stayed in a corporate suite with young kids, the layout with mezzanine was perfect space offering room to sit and play and the kids were happy with the sofa bed. It was spotless and modern. Best part was the little kitchenette - had 5 of everything, so often motel family rooms don't have enough cutlery and crockery for advertised occupancy. Separate sink and even a microwave had thought of everything. A testament to the customer service which was spot on. Next time we're coming through Gladstone we've found our stop.

The Harbour Sails friendly staff checked me in to a large, modern, comfortable and spotless room on the ground floor. The hotel is well situated, easy to access and beautifully maintained. There is a pool, free wifi and all the mod cons one would expect to find.

Great property, large clean room. Very comfy king bed, everything you need. Microwave, toaster, coffee and tea. Close to local Tavern and the Sailing club just a short walk, great meal here and the view over water was so peaceful. Manager David was very welcoming and answered all our questions for dining options in the area.

Thank you for your review Tilley52. Our head Housekeeper works tirelessly to ensure all rooms are at their very best and compliment the very large KING beds. She also is pedantic and makes sure there is sufficient crockery and cutlery to match the number of people in each of our room types. This place is conveniently situated near the water front (200m) Big rooms with sitting area, mini kitchen. This place has a small pool too and friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of parking and safe. Would recommend.

You seem to have "nailed" the room descriptions - yes, they are larger than the normal motel and our Housekeeping staff are focused on presenting you with a great room on your arrival. As the weather warms up we are getting guests taking advantage of the pool and enjoying themselves in and around the pool. (Still too cold for me at this time.) Owners very helpful & friendly. Stayed in Executive King Room which was spotless & fresh. Room good size, with kettle,coffee, tea etc, small bar fridge, microwave, toaster plus cups etc. Small swimming pool, smoking area, grounds well maintained. Easy walking distance to Tavern & Restaurants.

Whilst an older style motel, our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. It was good value for the price and was spacious. It is located on the main street so easy to get food and the Reef Hotel is across the road. Friendly staff

The Harbour Sails Motor in was okey. There were many animals in the room, which was a bit unpleasant. The walls are a thin and the door seems like you could open it even if its locked. Beside this was the room clean and it was not that expensive. When we came back after dinner, there was no parking spot left and we had to park on the street.

The Motor Inn was great for an overnight stay before and after our trip to Heron Island. The staff were very helpful, in particular Jayde who went out of her way to assist. Just a recommendation to other travelers who need to get to the airport first thing in the morning (in our case Saturday morning). Don't rely on the taxis. In our situation the Motor Inn organised us some transport.

The Hotel was centrally located and walking distance to East’s Shores pubs and cafes. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Check in was easy, reception staff were engaged, happy and helpful. Fridge, microwave were in room with a free guest laundry. On site parking Bed was comfortable with crisp good quality linen. Water pressure excellent. Would stay again
