Great clean room, great price and pet friendly. I even loved the premises the trees and garden looked very tropical. The manager friendly and was being beyond helpful since staying one night I was towing my Avan Aliner as didn't want to set it up just for one night, the lady made sure I could park outside my room even by asking another occupant if they could move there car to another spot so my car and van could fit in, which he was happy to do. It was pretty quiet too and comfy bed so got a good night's sleep. I definitively recommend and would go back.
I didn't expect much for the price, but what I got was very well below average. Tiny bedroom that did not have enough space between the door and the bed. Someone's old half-finished 1.5L softdrink was still in the fridge. The toilet was so close to the shower that I had to sit on it sideways. Family next door arrived at 9am and did not quiet down until 2am. Netflix didn't work. I left a note, but never heard anything. Definitely worth paying an extra $10-$20 to stay somewhere and actually have a good sleep.
booking was easy ( thanks angela ), early check in was a bonus. the villa is more than i expected. i knew there was 2 bedrooms, but 2 bathrooms was a surprise ! all cooking requirements were there and netflix was a bonus. the housekeepers deserve great praise....nothing has been too much for them
Some places are too good to be true, and some places are better than the too good they seem to begin with. It took me a while to get to The Sleep Factory, in several ways; being spoilt for choice for accommodation in Gladstone, and not needing to stay in any particular area, and all at good pricing. I checked the sites and The Sleep Factory came up quickly, and for good reason. I'd check others, go and come back, look at it again; it was too good to be true... I read some reviews, and there was some negative consensus, the rooms there were not as pictures, some rouse was in play to dupe and deceive? I checked Google Maps, and searched elsewhere, I had time, after all. The price was really good though, and when I came back looking at The Sleep Factory, I decided to upgrade my experience from the std motel style room to a 1 BR unit, which they advertised as having as well, and curiously, as I scrolled down the page of accommodation options, there were no shortage of them! Single rooms, Queen rooms, 1 BR units, family units, Villas of different sizes?! I checked Google Maps again, it didn't look anything special, but that's exactly what made it so good! Sitting almost submerged in tropical trees and greens, it's not easy to see exactly how big, diverse, and spaced out The Sleep Factory is, in its entirety... Once you see how large it is, and the variety of options of rooms and accommodation you have, you realise two things; The reviews are unfounded, those travellers simply have not picked the room they wanted for the room picture they saw. My 1 BR unit looked much better than the pictures would suggest - there is no subterfuge here. Secondly, it is not only a hidden gem, it's better than too good to be true. It's quiet, pet-friendly, clean, well serviced, friendly hosts, awesome internet (with Ethernet into my room!), great bedding, great bathrooms, great parking, easy access, great kitchen, space inside and outside so large; for the first time in my travels i was able to easily unpack my whole car, borrow buckets and hose to wash it. Store everything unpacked, easily in the huge unit floor space. I'm writing this review after having made my second booking to The Sleep Factory…
Booked this motel last minute while travelling through to Brisbane. The owner was very friendly and helpful as we had pets so gave us a pet friendly room. The room was small but perfect for one night and the fact our fur baby could stay. Bathroom and room was very clean. The only issue we found is air-con did not cool the room that well so was warm night. All in all we will defiantly stay again in way back.
Stayed here for the night and was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is clean and tidy. The shower was powerful and hot . Great air conditioning. The owner was a lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful. The best thing for me was the fruit bats in the tree eating their dinner. Only bad point is there are not many electric sockets but isn’t not a dealbreaker. Great accommodation for the price.
Affordable family accommodation, with fairly new cabins. Aircons worked well, showers nice and hot, comfortable beds. Did drive past as there is very little signage. Sign is on the southern side of the building. We will be back.
The room I got was not what I thought I'd booked. Was supposed to be a 'plus' room with 2 beds and sofa. Got an old motel room with 1 bed (not comfortable), a kitchenette and a poky little bathroom. Air con was rattly with the front hanging off it. Only stayed for one night. The only good part was the price, sadly.
We only stayed 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer. The self contained units were perfect for our family. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Rooms were immaculate. Kids made friends with the kids from the motel. A brilliant stay. Conveniently located across the road is a service station and 4 mins drive to the esplanade and park.
Nice room,it was pet friendly. Even the spa bath room is pet friendly Great and fun staff. Always making sure you have everything you need. And the salt water inground pool is so relaxing. Its close to shops as well.Great place to stay.
