My husband and I had a beautiful stay here. The managers, Max and Karen were very helpful and friendly. The unit had everything we could ask for, extremely comfortable and clean. The views were amazing from both front and rear balcony. Cafes and restaurants are just a stones throw away, a lovely walk either on the beach or just up the road.
We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this resort.

Our family of 5 recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Rainbow Commodore, we have previously stayed in 4 different apartment blocks in Rainbow Bay but we have now found a total gem & won't stay anywhere else.
Our apartment was on one of the higher floors & not only had beautiful views of Rainbow Bay from the front balcony but as we were in a corner position we also looked out to Dbah & The Tweed from our side balconies. Everything our family needed for a self contained stay was provided & even with 3 children the apartment never felt crowded - they are so spacious. Rainbow Commodore is in a great position & a short walk to Coolangatta or Tweed for groceries/eating out. We all spent plenty of time in the Pool & a playground is only a short/flat walk to Rainbow Bay beach.

So old and unmaintained. The drain in the laundry floor waste overflowed three times when you took the plug out of the sink. First time had to get Manager to unblock the drain and provide a mop. We managed with towels the other times. Had to leave the apartment when we washed as the machine was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. Husband repaired the tap in the ensuite to prevent it falling off. The doors and screens were so corroded you couldn’t open them. Had to get manager to put doors back on tracks. The accumulation of sand in the couches was disgusting and filthy. We had to clean them. Pool and spa was dirty and that complaint was coming from our Granddaughters. In short the apartment has received little or no preventative maintenance between lettings.

These apartments are in a good location. Just a short walk into Coolangatta and very easy access to the beach. Lovely little cafe on corner for meals, snacks,coffee. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was quite spacious. The living areas had obviously had a bit of a facelift, bedrooms and bathrooms tired and dated. Our ensuite was so tiny you could hardly turn around in it, 2nd bathroom not much better. No exhaust fans in bathrooms. No instructions for appliances. The reception desk was not attended very often, we had questions about the tv and thought our ceiling fans weren't working but no one around to ask. Overall very average accommodation, needs updating and service could be improved.

The apartment was handy to all shops and beaches along with restaurants and clubs in Tweed Heads and Coolangatta. A Good pool and a pool table for all as well. The security was very good and the parking was undercover. We will be returning for sure!

Great apartment, very spacious, fantastic views and bonus balconies at all sides. Kitchen very well equipped and very comfortable lounge suite. Very clean, however please note this unit is well overdue a repaint. With this update I would rate it 5 stars.

We had a 3 day stay and had a great time, perfect location in a quiet area, short walk to the beach, lovely pool area. Our 2 bedroom unit was a great size although looking a little run down. Very dated bathrooms and laundry which require a revamp. The unit was immaculately clean. No air conditioning might be an issue when the weather heats up but a lovely breeze saved us from the heat.

I stayed two weeks with my family including two small children, and we loved the Rainbow Commodore. Fantastic location, easy walk to Rainbow Bay beach, only couple minutes walk up to the incredible Point Danger lookout (where you can see whales galore during the migration season), and 10 minutes walk up to Coolangatta shops. The apartment we stayed in was very clean and well maintained, we have been staying in lots of apartments on the Gold Coast and this was the cleanest. Lovely view out to beach and lots of windows front and back to get the breezes. The on-site managers Karen and Max were so accommodating and helpful, we loved our stay and really did not want to leave!
